You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I want A "FUR"ever" HOME!  Read the FULL Bio to see where I am located and contact info:    2024001 Check out this Teddy Bear. Teddy as we call him since he looks like a little black bear cub, came to us from a local animal control.  His owners just left him behind. Well, RCHS didn't leave him behind.  Teddy is around 1 year old.  He weighs 44lbs and is a black lab mix.  He loves other dogs, tested ok with cats, but will need training to teach about playing too rough, and better with older children since he still jumps.  He knows some basic commands. Teddy is still puppy so he does still mouth when playing.  He just needs some time, training and love.  Please help us find him a home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Hi. I am Birdie. Some folks say I'm shy. I think I'm expected to act like other Labs, that's part of my genes. But, right now I don’t. Don’t get me wrong, I would like to be like my sister Bobbie, you know, bouncy, perky, always up for life’s hustle and bustle. I'm more reserved. So, I have been thinking, a little canine self-diagnosis if you will. I was born mid-October 2021; then taken to a shelter, and Jan 2022 we came to St. Francis. In our first 3 months, my sister and I were living in our third shelter. In February 2022 Bobbie was adopted. Another change and now I am by myself. As of this writing I am a year old and feel like I was never given a chance to be a puppy, to form an attachment with a loving human in a forever home.Don’t think I am not appreciative of the people at St Francis CARE. I am glad to have a place that is safe. I am treated well and I really like playing with the other dogs, But, I think I would blossom if I lived in a trusting stable home where I was appreciated for me.So maybe I am a little shy, a little reserved, but, I bet that would change if I was with my own hooman. Please visit: Https://www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt for adoption information including the adoption application
