Story
Meet Reese 🍫🐾 Reese is a beautiful 3–4 year old chocolate Lab who came to us through animal control and was, unfortunately, never claimed. Because of that, we don’t know much about her past — but we’re getting to know who she is now. Reese is a sweet but sensitive girl who is still learning how to navigate life with people. She can be a bit reserved at first, but like most Labs, the quickest way to her heart is through her stomach. She is very food-motivated and eager to please when there’s something in it for her. It’s important to know that Reese does not take correction well and has shown that she can be mouthy at times. Because of this, she will need a calm, experienced, dog-savvy home that understands how to set clear boundaries while allowing her to build trust at her own pace. Heavy pressure or harsh handling are not a good fit for her. Reese appears to have had puppies in the past and may not have had a strong human bond early on. She needs time, patience, and consistency to feel safe and confident. With the right home and guidance, she has the potential to form a strong and lasting bond. Reese isn’t a dog for someone looking for an instant, easy adjustment — she’s a dog who needs understanding and time to heal. In the right environment, she has all the makings of a wonderful companion. If you’re an experienced adopter willing to meet her where she is, Reese could be the one you’ve been waiting for. 💛

Story
Meet Toby! This handsome lab mix is about a year old and full of love, energy, and potential. He came to us after being found just a few blocks away, running as a stray. A kind-hearted neighbor picked him up and brought him to safety. We may not know much about his past, but Toby's future is looking bright! He’s an incredibly happy, affectionate, and playful pup who’s always eager to make new friends—human and canine alike. He gets along well with other dogs, especially those with confident, calm personalities who can help guide him with a little structure. Toby is still learning the ropes when it comes to manners and basic training, but he’s not trying to be naughty—he’s just so excited about everything life has to offer! With a little guidance and patience, this sweet boy is sure to blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a fun-loving goofball with a heart of gold, Toby might just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Chance! Chance is an almost 6-year-old Lab x Heeler with a heart ready for a second chance. Originally adopted from us as a pup in December 2020, Chance’s first family realized he grew bigger than they expected and sadly had to return him. While we don’t know all the details of his life over the past several years, what we do know is that Chance is experiencing some stress in the shelter environment. He’s thrilled to meet people, but he carries a lot of pent-up anxiety. He’s sensitive to assertive handling and is quick to set boundaries, so a home without children would likely be best. Chance is an older guy who just needs patience, guidance, and structure. With the right family to show him how to relax, how to live alongside humans, and how to enjoy love and companionship, Chance has the potential to thrive. He may take a little time to settle in, but with consistency and care, he’ll reward you with loyalty, affection, and the joy of being a well-adjusted dog. Chance is ready to find the calm, loving home he deserves. Could that be yours?
