Story
💛 Meet Daphne 💛 Daphne is a 10-month-old Retriever mix with a playful personality, a loving heart, and all the excitement that comes with being a young dog. She's the perfect combination of fun and affection—always ready for an adventure but just as happy curling up beside you when the day is done. This sweet girl loves being with her people and enjoys everything from games of fetch to car rides and even splashing around in the water. Daphne is looking for a family that can continue helping her grow into the amazing companion she's already becoming. 🐾 About Daphne: 10-month-old Retriever mix Female Affectionate and loving House trained (lets you know when she needs to go outside) Crate trained Leash trained Primarily lived indoors Loves car rides Loves playing in the water Enjoys playing fetch Quiet in the home Playful and energetic Thinks she's a lap dog! Microchipped Good with older children Daphne is still a puppy at heart and, like many young dogs, can get into mischief if she isn't given enough mental and physical stimulation. She may chew when she's bored, so she'll do best with plenty of exercise, toys, enrichment activities, and a family committed to keeping her active. She has also shown resource guarding around food and toys, so she'll need a family that understands this behavior and is willing to continue positive, reward-based training. With consistency, structure, and guidance, many dogs successfully learn healthier habits. 🏡 Ideal Home: Daphne would thrive with an active family that enjoys walks, outdoor adventures, and interactive play. Because of her resource guarding, she'd do best with older children and adopters who are committed to continuing her training and helping her build confidence. ✨ Why Daphne? Daphne is a bright, affectionate young dog with so much potential. She already has a great foundation with house training, crate training, and leash skills. All she needs now is a family willing to invest a little time, patience, and love—and she'll reward them with years of loyalty, fun, and companionship. 💛 If you're looking for a playful best friend who's ready for life's next adventure, Daphne is waiting to meet you!

🏍️ Cool Hair, Fast Wheels, and One Loyal Best Friend Looking for His Crew! 🕶️ Meet Patrick, a 2-year-old Heeler mix who's got all the makings of a classic greaser—full of energy, always ready for adventure, and just looking for the right crew to cruise through life with. Patrick is the kind of guy who'd rather spend his day racing down country roads (or hiking trails), splashing through puddles, and hanging out with his favorite people than sitting around doing nothing. If your idea of a good time involves staying active, Patrick is ready to hop in and ride shotgun. This handsome boy is sweet, affectionate, and loves to play. Whether it's chasing a ball, cooling off in the water, or simply spending time with his family, Patrick is happiest when life keeps moving. Patrick has spent his life as an outside dog, so the whole "inside living" thing is brand new to him. Cozy beds, house rules, TV marathons, and learning that the couch is a pretty great place to relax are all lessons he'll need help discovering. With patience and consistency, he'll be ready to trade the open road for the comforts of home. He also came from a home with other dogs, so we know he's shared the garage before. We still recommend a meet-and-greet with any resident dogs to make sure everyone's engines are running smoothly before they become lifelong road trip buddies. As for cats and livestock, Patrick hasn't met them before, so those introductions would be uncharted territory. 🏁 Patrick's Pit Stop Stats 🏍️ Sweet and affectionate 🎾 Loves to play 💦 Big fan of water 🚶 Needs an active home to keep both his body and mind busy 🏡 Ready to learn the ropes of indoor living 🐕 Has lived with other dogs (meet-and-greet recommended) 🐈🐄 No known history with cats or livestock Patrick isn't looking for a life parked in the driveway. He's looking for a family that's ready to hit the road with him, explore new places, teach him new things, and make memories that'll last a lifetime. So grab your leather jacket, turn up the oldies, and make room in your crew—because this greaser is ready to trade life on the streets for a forever home where he'll always belong.

Story
Reba is a sweet, soulful older girl with so much love still to give. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her a little time and patience, and you'll see her gentle heart shine through. Once she feels safe, Reba blossoms into a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be near her people. When Reba first came to us, she was busy raising her puppies—and she was the most incredible mama. Patient, nurturing, and devoted, she gave her babies the very best start in life. Now that they've grown, it's finally her turn to be cared for and cherished the way she deserves. Reba does have some allergies and is blind in one eye , but she's responding really well to treatment and is feeling better every day. With a little ongoing care, she'll continue to thrive. Reba would do best in a calm, loving home that will give her the time she needs to settle in and build trust. In return, she'll give you a lifetime of quiet companionship, soft moments, and unconditional loveIf you are interested in meeting Reba, please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.org and text 775-338-6631 or 775-846-3773.July 17, 2026, 1:09 am

Story
Cowboy is a sweet boy, who is food motivated and learns quickly. He was on the red list at a county shelter and we could not let that happen. He knows “sit” and “shake”, and is working on “stay”. He does jump up when excited but is learning to keep his paws on the ground. Cowboyneeds a bit more work walking on leash and getting comfortable around strangers, but at home he is a love. Cowboy plays hard, works hard, and naps hard at the end of the day! He's ready for his forever home. If you are interested in meeting him, please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.orgJuly 17, 2026, 1:09 am
