Story
Meet Peanut Peanut came to us from Yuma where he had earned quite a fan club. This very nice guy is estimated 9-10 years old and is 14/15 lbs. and stands 15" at the shoulder. Peanut is a laid back, mellow guy who is well behaved. He is not an excessive barker (except when crated) and has excellent house manners. Peanut has shown himself to be with good with people and other dogs. He is friendly but also enjoys time to himself. Peanut is well housebroken and has not had a single accident in his Tucson foster's home! Despite his long, lanky legs, Peanut is not a runner or a bolter. He walks nicely on a leash and looks forward to his leisurely walk around the block. Peanut had a dental while in rescue and has a nice set of teeth. He is also neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines and is healthy with no medications. Peanut is hard of hearing; he responds to a loud clap. For this reason thunder and other loud noises are probably not an issue with him. He has only mild vision issues. Peanut would be a great addition as a second (or third) dog to a household. The boy has learned to use the doggie door but he does not climb pet stairs and has little interest in getting up on the couch or the bed. He is most comfortable on the floor or ground where he enjoys his dog beds. He will typically nap the afternoon away. Peanut is not a lap dog,.and typical of his breed is fairly independent. He is mostly a quiet guy but occasionally he will talk to you (not bark) which may amuse you. Story
Meet Pepsi aka Moxie, a delightful senior dog with an alert expression that always seems to be wondering what's happening around him and if he might be missing out on something special. Pepsi's curiosity and love for good food make him quite the character, and he often dreams about the days when he might have become a chef. Though his culinary career never took off, Pepsi now enjoys his retirement in a fabulous foster home, savoring delicious meals and living the good life. Pepsi came to us from PACC when his human had to enter a care facility. Since then, his foster family has discovered what an amazing dog he truly is. Friendly with everyone he meets, whether they have two legs or four, Pepsi is well-behaved and adapts easily to new environments. He is housetrained with a dog door, leash trained, and crate trained, making him a well-mannered and easygoing companion. He is also snake trained!! Characteristics: Age: 10 years old Weight: Approximately 16 lbs Adorable floppy ears Very alert and curious Friendly and sociable Well-behaved Housetrained with a dog door Leash trained and crate trained During his time in rescue, Pepsi received a dental cleaning (a little over a year ago) and has transitioned smoothly. He has an endearing personality and an adventurous spirit, always ready to explore new things and enjoy life to the fullest. His foster reports that Pepsi is truly a joy to have around. Pepsi is looking for his forever home where he can continue his culinary adventures and bring joy to his new family. Story
We adopted our 4 year old dog from the shelter a few months ago, and he has been such a sweet companion. He gets along wonderfully with our two toddlers (ages 3 and 5) and loves playing with them. He’s energetic and affectionate, though his excitement can sometimes lead to slightly rough play he occasionally nips when the kids run, thinking it’s part of the game. He is also very protective of our family. While this can be a great trait, it has created some challenges: he has tried to nip at our kids’ friends when he thought they were being too rough, even though they were just playing. Because of this, we keep him separated when guests are over to prevent any issues. We truly believe he deserves a home where he can receive the love, attention, and training he needs. He’s a wonderful dog, but due to our daughter’s allergies and his protective instincts around visiting children, we’re unable to keep him.
