These sweet girls are Dachshund and Chihuahua mixes and are approximately six years old. They came to Pet Rescue By Judy after a heartbreaking change in their family—one of their owners sadly passed away, and the other was forced to move and could not bring both dogs along.  Despite the upheaval in their lives, Squirt and Sweet Pea have remained happy, affectionate, and full of personality. They are housebroken, get along well with other dogs, and even like cats. They enjoy bath time, have been around children ages six and up, and have a playful side that shines once they feel comfortable. Both girls love going for walks and do very well riding in the car, making them great companions for outings and adventures.  Squirt and Sweet Pea are currently on a weight-loss journey and would thrive with a dedicated owner or family committed to helping them stay active and healthy. Daily walks, playtime in the yard, and lots of encouragement will help these girls continue shedding pounds and gaining confidence.  These two share a special bond and bring out the best in each other. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Kylo!   Kylo is a Miniature Pinscher (MinPin) mix and a wonderful little senior dog with so much love to give. He wasn’t socialized much in his earlier years, which made him very bonded to his person. Because of this, adjusting to life at the rescue—surrounded by lots of new people—was a challenge for him at first. With time, patience, and kindness, we’ve seen Kylo start to open up and show his sweet personality. However, he does not like men, most likely because his owner was a woman and that may have been the only person he was around. So, he will need a female only home.  He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys spending time with trusted people. Kylo would do best in a quieter home, without children, where he can feel safe, secure, and continue building confidence at his own pace. He also needs to be the only dog in the home, so he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. NO CHILDREN   &#226&#156&#168 About the Miniature Pinscher &#226&#156&#168 The Miniature Pinscher, often affectionately called the “MinPin,” is a small breed with a big personality! Here are a few traits that may shine through in Kylo:   Alert and spirited – MinPins are known for their bold, confident nature. Energetic – even seniors like Kylo often enjoy regular walks and playtime. Loyal and loving – they tend to bond closely with their people and thrive on companionship. Smart and curious – with gentle guidance, they are quick learners who enjoy mental stimulation.    Kylo may be a senior, but he’s still got plenty of love and life ahead of him.
