Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please understand that we get many applications for our available dogs. We review each application and do our absolute best in choosing a home that best suits each dog and his/her needs and personality. Good day people – Reggie here!  I’m a true original with a quirky personality to boot!  There is never a dull moment while I’m around.  As you can see from my pics, I’m mostly dachshund (with some surprises thrown in). I’m a tiny senior guy and despite some random fur here and there, I’m pretty much hairless.   I have that doxie disposition and will command attention when it suits me.  I’m very healthy, but I have no teeth and my eyesight is limited.  I get around pretty well in daylight, but have a little trouble navigating in low light situations.  I don’t have a mean bone in my body, but as a result of my vision, I can be easily surprised or frightened and may lash out and nip or bite if startled.  Overall, I’m a really happy little man.  It takes me a little time to get used to new people, but once I’m comfortable I turn into a top notch snuggle bug – as long as I’m in the mood.  In fact, if you give me a blanket, I will craft the coziest, most comfy nest you have ever seen, and at times, sing myself to sleep.  And I vow to protect you from dog toys of all sorts by shaking them into submission.  I get along fine with most dogs and cats, but I would prefer to be in a home with only small dogs, or even better I would love to be the center of attention as the only dog in your life. I‘m a sucker for attention and devotion.  If you’re looking for a curmudgeon with a heart of gold, I’m your man!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 8, 2024, 6:13 pm
