Meet Gal: A Brave Survivor Seeking a Loving Home
Hi there! My name is Gal, but feel free to give me a new name. I'm a young girl, weighing in at around 17 lbs, and I've got a heart full of love to share. Let me tell you a bit about myself:
Couch Companion: When you're unwinding and catching up on your favorite TV shows, I'll be right there by your side, snuggled up in your arm pit. I thrive on attention and am the ultimate lap dog!
Backyard Racer: Give me a sunny day and an fenced yard, and I'll show you my zoomies! I love racing around, playing with my fellow doggy pals. I have not walked or gone potty on a leash yet so that will be something new.
Resilience and Trauma: My past hasn't been easy. I witnessed something truly heartbreaking-my owner's life was taken away as she was murdered in front of me. It left me shaken, but I'm a survivor. The other 11 dogs in our home were also thrown outside, and tragically, my dear friend didn't make it and was ran over. But now, five of us-including me-are safe here at Camp Companion. I am afraid of men now and will need patience if I am living with men. I will try to protect my mom from you at first. Please work with me.
Potty Trained and Smart: I'm a well-behaved girl when it comes to potty time. I'll happily go outside, and if you have a potty pad, I'll use that too. Plus, I've mastered the art of the doggy door!
Kennel Trained: Although I don't need to be kenneled, I'm familiar with it. But honestly, I'd rather be out and about, exploring the world with you.
Patience Pays Off: Be patient with me initially-I can be a bit skittish around new things, especially men and dogs bigger than me. But once I trust you, get ready for some serious smothering with love! My mom has been teaching me about personal space (apparently, not everyone appreciates my enthusiastic kisses).
Kid-Friendly: I have a feeling I'll adore kids. Their energy and playfulness match mine perfectly!
Dog Approved: I get along well with other dogs but can be fearful of new dogs at first. As for cats, I'm not entirely sure, but I'm open to the possibility.
Adoption Details: My adoption fee is $300 plus tax. If you're ready to welcome a survivor like me into your heart and home, head over to Companion.org to apply!
Remember, I've got a heart full of gratitude for being saved, and I can't wait to find my forever family. Let's create paw-sitive memories together!
