I’m a Dachshund mix—at least that’s what we think—and I’m a very happy boy. I didn’t always have it easy; I had a rough start to life and arrived at rescue underweight with a dull coat. Thanks to a kind lady and lots of care, I’ve blossomed into the joyful pup you see today. I have lots of love to give and absolutely wouldn’t mind getting plenty of cuddles—they make me even happier! I’m still a young guy, so I have plenty of energy. I love to play, explore the backyard, and go for walks where I can check out all the exciting smells. My foster mom says I’m quite the handsome dude, which I think is a nice bonus I can be a little shy at first, but a few belly rubs will quickly turn us into best friends. I’m crate trained and sleep through the night without a peep, though I’d also be happy curling up in bed with you. I’m eager to learn, and those yummy things called treats really help me focus! I play great with the other dogs in my foster home and enjoy having furry friends. I’m still working on my potty training, but with a consistent schedule, I’m learning quickly. I’ve never met a cat, but since I’m young, I think we could learn to coexist. I enjoy car rides and do great in the car—it’s fun watching the world go by! My favorite part of the day is running around the backyard with my foster siblings, and I don’t even mind that fluffy white stuff (snow!).
