Story
5/9/2024) Bubba (fka Cheeto) is a sweet 8-year old male Miniature Pinscher mix who was surrendered by his tearful heartbroken owner on May 8, 2024 because their landlord would no longer allow Bubba to remain in the rental complex. Bubba has a black-and-brown short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable black-and-tan face with dark brown eyes, tan eyebrows, white shading on his muzzle, and large ears (the better to hear you with my dear). Bubba holds his right ear erect and his left ear semi-erect which gives him such an endearing appearance. This little lovebug is a pushover for attention and loves to give (and receive) kisses .. Bubba has an outgoing 'Type A' personality, and he is a good conversationalist. Unfortunately it was Bubba's conversational behavior which was the reason he was no longer welcome in the rental property. His mistress has shared information for potential adopters about her beloved pet .. Bubba loves his toys (and she will make sure that his favorites go with him to his new home). Bubba LOVES to take walks. He is good with most other dogs but he will chase cats. Bubba would likely be ok with older children. Bubba loves his food and can sometimes be a little protective. Bubba is housetrained and will sit in front of you to let you know when he needs to be taken outdoors. Bubba is a full-figured boy who currently weighs 27-28 lbs. He has already been neutered, so Bubba could leave the shelter immediately with an approved HSOV adoption application. Bubba is missing a bit of hair on his tail (likely due to an allergy). His owner had recently purchased a Seresto flea collar for him which will be good for another 6-7 months. Bubba may look familiar to many of our ardent HSOV Facebook fans/followers since he is an HSOV alumnus. Bubba (fka Cheeto) was adopted on May 1, 2023 so he and his mistress had recently celebrated his one-year anniversay 'gotcha day'. These photos of Bubba were taken on the afternoon of May 9, 2024 when HSOV Kennel Tech Aubrey Hall accompanied Bubba outdoors and gave him the freedom to wander around in the green grass to 'take care of business' and run some laps around her for exercise .. And then posed like a 'pro' when he saw a large Shepherd dog being walked in the distance. Perhaps Bubba's best photos were those when he was lovingly gazing into Aubrey's eyes and being carried in her arms. Bubba would love to be back in a real home again (which would also make his former owner/mistress very happy as well).
