You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Hello My new name is Babe and I LOVE it!!!  I come from the "hoarding" situation.  I'm not sure what that means I just know I come from a REALLY stinky house with a lot of other pups in fact there were 148 of us!!   I like the ranch it is fun and they give us spa days and we eat really good!!!  I'm learning to trust the humans!  They aren't like the ones I lived with before. My foster mom says I will never have to worry again and she will make sure my next home is AMAZING!!!  I am most comfortable when I have another pooch to cuddle with so she said she won't send me to a home without another pup my size and a fenced yard.  That makes me feel really safe!!! UPDATE:Kobe is a little 3-year old Min-Pin terrier mix that weighs 10 lbs. He has a cute wiry mane around his neck that makes him unique! He’s a spunky little boy that also loves to cuddle. He is house trained but you can always expect some accidents when a dog is adjusting to a new home.  Poor Kobe did not learn any manners in his previous home so he needs some patience. He would benefit from an obedience class or training at home.  Kobe likes to guard his food, toys and person therefore he would probably do best as an only dog or a dog companion that is more submissive. He does enjoy playing with other dogs but don't try to steal his toy! He is currently working on taking treats nicely. He loves food and is tempted to grab it right out of your hand.  The best thing about Kobe is he loves to snuggle beside you, on your lap  or under a blanket.  he will quietly sleep in his crate at night time but I’m sure he would love to snuggle in bed with you too.
