Story
Every great story has a character you'll think about after you've turned the last page. At Two by Two Rescue, his name is Potter. The lone survivor of his litter, bottle-fed around the clock. Then adoption day arrived, and everyone believed the hardest chapter was behind him. But Potter found his way back to the rescue when the family who loved him could no longer keep him. The remarkable part? Potter hasn't let disappointment steal an ounce of his joy. A splash in the creek. A trail to explore. A car ride with his head out the window, feeling the breeze. If you're adventuresome, he's convinced he is part of the plan. When it's time to wind down, this balanced player is just as happy leaning in for ear scratches, hugs, and simply being by your side. Together is his favorite place to be! Would do well as your single best buddy or alongside other socially neutral dogs. He's waiting to hear, "Come on, Potter... let's go home!" If your story has room for an unforgettable character, Potter is ready for his best chapter yet! Birthdate is 4/29/24, adoption fee $300.00. Adoption fee includes vaccines up to date, parasite prevention, neuter, and microchip.

Story
Meet Lucy, a pup whose night-and-day transformation might bring tears to your eyes.  A few months ago when Lucy was found alone at an RV park, you wouldn’t have even recognized her. She was covered in mange, underweight and very uncomfortable. Thankfully a kind person kept her safe, sought medical help and never gave up on her. A foster home took Lucy in a month later. As her fluffy coat has continued to fill in, Lucy has also been doing internal work: learning to walk on a leash, learning to come into the house, learning to enjoy being petted. Lucy has made great strides and is now an absolute joy in a pint-sized package. She’s approximately 26 pounds at 7 months old and seems to be growing at a very slow pace. Her breed test showed that she’s a mix of large and small breeds. Great Pyrenees and Husky were the top two breeds, but she also had some small amounts of Chihuahua, rat terrier and miniature schnauzer. The breed test predicted her full grown weight could be as low as 33 pounds.  Lucy absolutely adores other dogs and would love a doggy companion in her forever home. She looks so happy when she’s outside playing a game of chase with her foster puppy friend Linus. But Lucy isn’t an overly energetic puppy, so even the old grumpy dogs don’t mind having her around.  Lucy will need a patient owner who will give her time to feel comfortable. New situations and new people still make Lucy nervous, but she has become very comfortable in her foster home where she takes naps on her back in hopes she might get a belly rub. Lucy now seeks out attention, but she would never jump on you trying to get it. She’s very polite and well behaved in the house.  Lucy is fully potty trained and loves being in her crate. It was her safe spot while she worked up the courage to fully incorporate into her foster family.  Lucy has had quite the journey, and we want to find a forever home that’s perfect for her. Please apply if you can give Lucy the heartwarming ending she deserves.
