Story
Solo is an 8 year old neutered male Maltese and Terrier Mix with a soft white coat and a heart that still believes in love. He was adopted years ago and deeply cherished. After his owner passed away, Solo stayed with a family member for a time, but due to personal changes, he has returned to us. Through it all, he has remained gentle, loyal, and incredibly affectionate. Solo is house-trained, polite on leash, and happiest curled up beside his person. He enjoys calm walks, cozy evenings, and being your quiet little shadow. He’s not just looking for a home — he’s looking for his person again. And he will love you with his whole heart. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. Please note a Petfinder and Adoptapet Inquiry is not applying for the dog. You have to come to the event or send an email inquiry to our records email.

Story
Meet Harrington Breed: Poodle / Bichon Mix Sex: Male Age: 5 Years Weight: 14 Pounds Health: Healthy and doing well Harrington is a mature, gentle soul with soft curls and calm, steady energy. At five years old, he offers the beautiful balance of companionship without puppy chaos. He has a quiet warmth that makes you feel instantly at ease. Personality Harrington is affectionate, loyal, and deeply people-focused. He enjoys being near his humans, taking relaxed walks, and spending quiet evenings close by. He is emotionally steady and bonds strongly once he feels secure. He offers calm devotion rather than high-energy chaos. Breed Info Poodle/Bichon mixes are intelligent, adaptable, and affectionate. They require routine grooming and thrive in structured homes where they feel included. These breeds are known for bonding deeply and being emotionally intuitive. Owner Responsibilities Harrington will require consistent grooming, daily companionship, and mental stimulation. Even adult dogs need structure and engagement. He thrives with stability and gentle leadership. House Training Note:   Like many rescue dogs, he may still be learning his potty routine. This can happen when a dog has lived in a kennel environment, experienced multiple homes, or simply never had the chance to learn consistent house training. The good news is that adult dogs often pick it up quickly once they have a stable routine, patience, and positive reinforcement. With a predictable schedule and guidance from his new family, he should continue making great progress. &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider Is your home stable long-term? Are pets allowed permanently where you live? Are you financially prepared for grooming and ongoing care? Are you ready for a commitment that lasts through moves, life changes, and schedule shifts? Adoption means forever. Vet Care Even though Harrington is healthy, establishing care with your own veterinarian immediately ensures continuity, preventative care, and long-term wellness. The 3-3-3 Rule He may need a few days to decompress. Within weeks he’ll learn your rhythm. Within months he’ll fully relax and trust you completely. Patience makes all the difference. Why Harrington? Harrington offers steady companionship, loyalty, and warmth. If you want a dog who brings calm love into your home and stays by your side for years to come, he is ready.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
Meet Livvy Breed: Maltese Sex: Female DOB: 11/18/2025 Weight: 6 Pounds Health: Healthy and thriving Livvy is a tiny little snowball of sweetness with soft eyes and a gentle spirit. At just three months old, she is still very much a baby — learning the world, discovering her confidence, and forming the bonds that will shape her entire life. She has that delicate Maltese charm — affectionate, people-focused, and happiest when she feels safe and close to her humans. Personality Livvy is cuddly, curious, and wonderfully affectionate. She loves exploring her surroundings, following you around on her tiny paws, and then climbing into your lap when she’s ready for reassurance. She thrives on connection and will likely form a deep, devoted attachment to her person. With patience and guidance, she will grow into a loyal, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Breed Info Maltese are known for their gentle, devoted personalities. They are companion dogs through and through — they do not enjoy being left alone for long periods and thrive in homes where they are included in daily life. They require regular grooming to keep their coats healthy and mat-free, and they respond beautifully to kind, consistent training. Maltese bond deeply and often choose “their person” for life. Owner Responsibilities Livvy is a baby. That means frequent potty breaks, supervision, gentle socialization, and consistent positive reinforcement training. Puppies chew, explore, and make mistakes — they require time every single day. She will also require routine grooming throughout her life. Raising Livvy means actively shaping her into a confident, well-adjusted adult dog. &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider Before adopting Livvy, ask yourself: Are you home enough for a young puppy? Is your housing stable and pet-approved long-term? Are you financially prepared for grooming, vet care, and emergencies? Are you ready for a 12–15 year commitment — even if you move, change jobs, or life circumstances shift? Adoption is not temporary. It is for life. Vet Care Even though Livvy is healthy, it is essential to establish care with your own veterinarian immediately after adoption. This ensures her vaccination schedule continues properly, growth is monitored, and any concerns are addressed early. A relationship with your own vet sets the foundation for lifelong health. Understanding the 3-3-3 Rule The first 3 days Livvy may feel overwhelmed or unsure — everything is new. The first 3 weeks she will begin learning your routine and feeling safe. By 3 months, her trust will bloom, and her true personality will shine. Patience during this transition is critical for building lifelong confidence. Why Livvy? Livvy is not just a tiny puppy — she is a little life waiting to give her whole heart to someone. If you are ready to nurture, guide, and commit fully, she will reward you with unwavering devotion and years of soft, loyal companionship.   If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue.
