Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dog-friendly Finnley is ready to meet you and your pup!  Finnley loves people and could easily fit into a home with another dog companion, we think he will not only enjoy the company but will more easily settle into a routine and daily life with a confident canine companion. Finnley loves to get outside for a good sniff and we can tell that he would love to go and explore, he would really enjoy having a yard of his own (his terrier brain would love this!)   Finnley loves to watch the outside and try to get birds, squirrels, rabbits, and vehicles. Finnley will require a securely fenced in yard because of his love of chasing things. Finnley is potty trained and does great when home without supervision. Finnley is a happy goofy guy with lots of energy, but he does still love a good cuddle and the chance to be a lap dog!  We are working on nips at our feet and sometimes the back of our legs. It would be best if he went into a home with older kids. Finnley is not a great match for cats unless your cat is very dog savvy.  Finnley came back into rescue after having had a medical emergency that his family was not equipped to care for.  It is believed he had exposure to a possible toxin that caused a severe anemic reaction that required hospitalization and ongoing steroids during recovery. Finnley has been monitored very closely while being tapered off of medication, he currently has no long term side effects or medication needs other than monthly prescription preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.  He is recommended by the vet to have bi-annual bloodwork for the next 12 months and then just routine annual bloodwork as part of his wellness exams.  Finnley is a happy go lucky little guy, this was just an unfortunate setback that he managed well and recovered easily from with some TLC!   Finnley's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and monthly preventatives.  If you would like to meet Finnley, please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered, as indoor pets only and kept current on annual vet visits, vaccines and preventatives.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 23, 2026, 11:24 am
