Story
Bailey Bee is a 6 month old, 6 lb Maltese mix with a joyful, social personality and a heart full of love for everyone she meets! Quick Facts: Name: Bailey Bee Breed: Maltese mix Age: 6 months old Weight: 6 lbs. House-Trained: Working on it! Crate-Trained: No (she can be left in a small room with toys!) Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested, open to a meet and greet though Good with Kids: Yes  Energy Level: Medium Fence Required: No Dog's Location: Holly Springs, NC About Bailey Bee’s Breed: Our best guess is that Bailey Bee is a Maltese mixed breed Maltese mixes are known for their sweet, affectionate, people oriented nature, often blending the Maltese’s gentle temperament with the fun quirks of whatever breed they’re mixed with. They’re typically social, loving little companions who enjoy being near their humans, playing with toys, and soaking up attention. Because they’re bright and eager to please, Maltese mixes tend to learn quickly with positive guidance and consistency. Their ideal home is one that offers plenty of companionship, gentle structure, and daily interaction. They thrive with families who are home often, enjoy playtime, and can provide steady training as they grow. Maltese mixes do well in homes that appreciate a small dog with a big personality — one who loves affection, benefits from routine, and blossoms when given patience, kindness, and lots of love! What to Love about Bailey Bee: Bailey Bee gets excited greeting new people and instantly wants to be their best friend. Bailey loves playing with toys, chewing appropriately, and then curling up for a cozy nap — the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet snuggle time. She’s still young and learning, but she listens well, responds to direction, and is eager to please. Bailey would thrive in a home where someone is home often to play with her, give her attention, and continue her training. She loves kids, but because she’s still learning not to jump and can be very rarely a little mouthy, she’ll do best with school aged, respectful children who understand she’s a puppy still figuring things out. She adores other dogs and would be thrilled to have doggie siblings, though she’d also be happy as an only dog. With her gentle nature, she’d likely do well with cats too. Bailey is working hard on her potty training and doing well. She’s not crate trained yet, but when her foster family leaves the house, she relaxes safely in a small room with toys. She’s still learning what’s okay to chew, but she takes redirection beautifully. Bailey is also gaining confidence on the leash — sometimes a little nervous, but improving every day — and she’d love a family committed to continuing her leash training. She enjoys exploring outside and would love a fenced yard, though it’s not required. Sweet, social, playful, and full of puppy charm, Bailey Bee is ready for a loving family who will guide her, adore her, and help her grow into the wonderful little companion she’s meant to be! Bailey Bee’s Beautiful Highlights: • 6 month old, 6 lb Maltese mix with a joyful, social personality • Loves everyone she meets and instantly wants to be their best friend • Playful toy lover who enjoys chewing appropriately and then snuggling for naps • Puppy learning mode — listens well, responds to direction, and eager to please • Best with someone home often to give her attention, playtime, and continued training • Great with kids but still learning not to jump or be mouthy, so school aged children are ideal • Dog friendly sweetheart who loves playing with canine siblings but can be an only dog too • Gaining confidence on leash and improving every day • Enjoys exploring outside and would love a fenced yard, though not required • Working on potty training and does well left in a small room with toys when her foster family goes out Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Walnut, an 11‑pound, 5‑year‑old terrier mix with a sunny, joyful personality. Small in size but full of charm, he’s fun loving, cheerful, and eager to be part of your world. He takes his time making new friends, then adores you once you’re part of his pack. Walnut thrives on attention and playtime—fetch is a favorite—but he’s also wonderfully adaptable and happy to settle at your feet when you’re busy.  He loves having his people home during the day and doesn’t do well when left alone for long periods, so an adopter who works from home or is home most of the time will be the best fit. Walnut has excellent house manners, is crate trained, knows sit and stay, waits politely at the door for walks, and listens well to a calm, confident leader. He’s alert and will bark when someone comes to the house, but he’s not food‑ or toy‑aggressive and respects boundaries like staying off certain furniture or waiting patiently at mealtimes. A steady, toddling walker, Walnut enjoys two 30‑minute walks each day plus a few short potty breaks and does not need a fenced yard. He’s been a one‑person dog and would be an ideal companion for a single adopter, though he may learn to do well with older, dog‑savvy kids with gentle socialization. He hasn’t lived with cats but enjoys his canine buddy in his foster’s fenced yard, where he proudly plays left field. Walnut loves learning and benefits from mental and physical enrichment, and his adorable habit of standing on his hind legs to get a better look at things hints he could be a natural for agility or other confidence‑building activities. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. INTERESTED IN MEETING OR ADOPTING PIERRE from Best Friend Pet Adoption rescue? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.  This is always the first step which needs to be completed before meeting any Best Friend Pet Adoption dog.   Meet Pierre — Your New Best Companion Pierre isn’t looking for a pack — he’s looking for his person. This calm, loving gentleman is ready to be your loyal shadow, your walking buddy, and your couch companion for life. A little about Pierre: Pierre came into rescue and never looked back. Quiet, gentle, and deeply affectionate, he has a way of making every room feel a little brighter just by being in it. Whether he’s tucked beside you on the sofa or trotting happily at your side on a walk, Pierre is happiest simply being near the person he loves. He’ll politely let you know when he’d like a lift onto the bed — an adorable bark, nothing more — and then sleep soundly at your feet until morning. Expect to wake up to his joyful little twirls and prances. It’s the best alarm clock you’ll ever have. Pierre is a great fit if you’re looking for a dog who is: ●         Calm and quiet — he rarely barks and is perfectly happy in a house/apartment   ●         Already nearly housebroken and doing great with his belly band   ●         Crate trained   ●         Easygoing with other dogs (and likely fine with cats too)   ●         An enthusiastic leash walker who loves his daily outings   His perfect home: Pierre is a devoted companion who bonds deeply with his person and does best when he can spend plenty of time with them. He can manage time alone, but he truly flourishes with someone who keeps him close. He does equally well as an only dog or with furry siblings, and he’s just as happy in a cozy apartment as in a house. No yard needed — his tail wags on walks.   EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants ideally should live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore prefer applicants that live within an hours drive of Cary NC.      INTERESTED IN ADOPTING PIERRE?
