Story
THIS IS A REPOST!! It never worked out from the start and I didn’t plan on keeping him this long, but it’s time for me to find someone who can give me him more time and attention than what I have been giving him. Mikey - 27 LBS - comes with behavioral issues (shy) and allergies, and is on a special diet. He would be best as a single-cat household. If you choose Mikey, I will give you a bag of his cat food. If I don’t find a home for him soon, the options don’t look great. He is very gentle and attentive to his name; grooming is not his favorite and is very shy. THIS WOULD BE A SERIOUS TIME COMMITMENT - and for serious rescuers. He’s only 2 years old, neg respiratory panel, and will be due for shots Spring 2024. The price is non-deductible. I bought him for much more and ONLY for the PERFECT ADOPTER. You will learn to know him as tender, spirited and very loyal, tuned into his surroundings. He would oddly make a good “watch cat”. He will certainly be the KING FOR YOUR CASTLE.

Story
**CURRENTLY BEING HOUSE AT OUR Forepaws LOCATION**Located at 453 Ridge Road in Minooka. Open for viewing/adoptions during their regular business hoursFeel free to call Forepaws for details at 779-456-7899Francia is a ten week old Main Coone mix that is looking for her forever home. Francia came in with her sibling, Fritizie, and they were pretty thin and loaded with fleas. At no surprise, poor Francia had missing fur most likely from the constant itch from the little buggers. They loved getting their flea baths and melted in the tub. With the help of their bathes and flea preventative, they are doing much better! Francia does great with other cats and did well with meeting a large cat saavy Bulldog. She was pretty cautious at first but will do well with a slow introduction. Francia loves climbing and would love to have a cat tree to claw and explore. She will need someone that can help keep up her beautiful coat as she gets older with brushings and/or professional grooming. Her adoption fee is $180, and includes all her age appropiate vaccines, registered microchip, fecal exam, deworming, FeLV tested negative, current on her flea/heartworm preventative, and spay. She has already been fixed so she is ready to bust out today!

Story
Hey there! I’m cute, right? That’s why you’re here, you thought I was cute. So let me tell you a little bit about myself because, I’m not your average kitty. My name is Scoots but my foster mom has lots of other names for me; Scooty, Scootsy, Scoot-a-toot, tootsie. I’m a smart little guy so I usually answer to all of the above. I was brought to the shelter because I got hurt somehow. My back legs don’t work like they’re supposed to so I can’t use them. That’s how I got the name Scoots, I scoot to get around. But don’t let that fool ya! I can move pretty fast when I get the zoomies! They say I’m “different” but I don’t feel different. I get around just as well as my kitty foster brother except, I don’t get in trouble for jumping on the counter. I do have to wear a diaper though because I can’t get into the littler box very well. I really like my doggie foster brother and sister, they’re German Shepherds but they don’t scare me! My foster kitty brother likes to play rough and I’m ok with that, I’m a tough guy. I love to show off and climb my kitty tower because, you know, I can only use my front legs, so clearly, I’m a strong boy. My favorite toys are these little tinsel balls that I can chase after, swat like a volleyball or catch mid air. I can go down stairs easily and I’m working on going up every once in awhile. I do like to look outside and watch the birds whenever I can. I’m not one to hide very much. I like to be around everyone because I’m a curious kind of guy.  Our house can be quiet but also quite chaotic at times and I’m pretty chill either way. I just like to witness all the action. Even though I do like to play, I don’t love to be picked up and held. I’ll sit with you on the couch though, I’m pretty good company. My foster mom says I’m also very entertaining. You should really contact Starfish to see if we would be a good fit. Hope to meet ya soon! Interested in meeting the Scoots? Complete our online application at https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application The adoption fee of $150.00 includes neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new cat for your family. Although we make the best guess on the breed of our cats, because they come from shelters, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the cat.  All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! Story
Bryce is a handsome and sweet, three-year-old, 13-pound, hunk of a brown tabby Maine Coon-mix looking for a loving guardian. Bryce was found living outside with poor vision due to juvenile cataracts. The cataracts probably formed due some virus he contracted as a kitten. Bryce loves to be pet and brushed; he absolutely drools with happiness! He does startle easily since his vision is impaired, and he play bites when over-stimulated so he’s looking for an experienced cat lover without children in the home. He is very healthy, neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, and virus-tested negative. He can be easily intimidated by some cats, so he can either live with a calm, easy-going cat, or on his own as the one and only pet in the home. His adoption fee of $150 benefits rescue. To meet and possibly adopt him, please fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/cat-adoption-application/ and follow up with friendsofpetraits@gmail.com He is being fostered in Chicago.

Story
Skip is a beautiful and playful, green-eyed, four-year-old, 12-pound brown tabby Maine Coon-mix looking for a loving guardian. She loves to chase feathers, crinkle balls, and toy mice. She’ll give you a little bop on the knee then scamper off to signal when she wants playtime. When she plays with her foster parents with her favorite ribbon toy, they keep it just out of reach… and then she pounces. Skip can be quite a high jumper and will entertain you with her athletic antics. Skip will jump onto the desk and slide close so she can get pets. She can be a little spicy when overstimulated; she will let you know when she's done being pet by giving a little hiss and a paw bop. She likes spending time looking out the window while chilling in her cat tree. She is well-behaved in the home. She uses her litter box like a good girl. Due to her cattitude, a home with adults only would be best. She takes a bit of time to warm up to new people, but builds a strong connection given time and patience. She appears nervous around other cats. She hasn’t met dogs in her current foster home, but we’re guessing they’d make her nervous too. She is extremely healthy, spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, and virus-tested negative for FIV and Felv. Her adoption fee of $95 benefits the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control Rescue Group. To meet and possibly adopt Skip, please fill out the adoption application at https://fcacc.org/adoptable-pets/apply-for-adoption/ and email it to jennyv@fcacc.org She is being fostered in Chicago.
