MOBY IS BACK… and entering his Kitty Ozempic era. Moby was adopted from us at the end of 2023 and recently found his way back into our care. We remembered Moby but we did not remember there being quite this much of him... Our man tipped the scales at nearly 20 POUNDS. Thankfully, Moby has already lost about half a pound and is officially beginning his journey from “morbidly obese sea mammal” back to “reasonably sized domestic house cat.” And listen, We KNOW fat cats are cute. We love a big ol’ belly. But obesity in cats can cause very real health problems, and our goal is to get Moby to a healthier weight safely and gradually. We’re looking for a foster-to-adopt home willing to commit to Moby’s weight-loss journey. Portion control, appropriate exercise, regular weigh-ins, and absolutely NOT believing him when he claims he hasn’t eaten since 2020 He’ll also need regular grooming. Moby is currently too large to effectively reach all of his… Moby… and can get pretty matted. Now, about other cats... His name is Moby for a reason. He may be able to coexist with the right cat, but he is certainly not searching for a feline best friend and would probably be perfectly thrilled to be the only king of his castle. Mochacino is a pretty brown tabby Maine Coon, and we call her Cino. I received her from a family in Indiana. I originally got her to keep my other cat, who also has seizures, company. Cino is a sweet girl who likes to be petted and is very easygoing.Mochacino is:• 2 years old and a purebred Maine Coon• Sweet, easygoing, and likes to be petted• Spayed, microchipped, and current on distemper and rabies vaccinations• Litter box trained• Friendly with other cats and good with kidsCino has seizures that are well-managed with Phenobarbital pills taken twice a day. She requires bloodwork every six months to check her medication levels. Because her medication can cause weight gain, she currently needs to lose some weight. We are looking for an indoor home that will love her and commit to her daily medication and veterinary care.

Racine is a very sweet 3-year-old purebred Maine Coon. She was born with a seizure disorder, but she has been under veterinary care and is doing very well on Phenobarbital tablets, which she needs twice a day for the rest of her life. I took her in from my sister, and while she is a wonderful companion, I am a disabled veteran facing my own health challenges and a family emergency that requires me to move, and I simply feel overwhelmed.
