Story
This baby lost her family through no fault of her own due to a divorce. She is absolutely precious, loves everyone she has met, was great getting vetted, will be available after her spay December 12, but I'm taking applications to get pre-approval.She needs to go to a quiet home with no small children and someone who is home most of the time to spoil her rotten and who has other small dogs in the home for her to play with. She has the poodle hair instead of the Maltese hair and will need to be groomed every few weeks so I do need your groomer's name added on the application and you do need to have experience with Doodle or poodle type hair because they will get matted in a heartbeat. You will need a vet reference and have kept your dogs on heartworm preventative and up-to-date on vaccines and the dogs in the home must be spayed or neutered. She's pretty good on a leash so if you walk your dogs, that's fine or if they're let out to play in potty, you must be out to supervise them in a very secure fenced yard. She's a bit selective on her potty training, according to the Foster Mom, so the new owner would have to be very aware of that and stay on top of the potty training. She will fuss awhile at first when put in her crate. She is only 3 years old so she has many many more years left, so take that into consideration before you apply please. The adoption fee is $400 and you may apply to adopt atMadisonARF.org

Story
Bella is a super sweet, happy, senior gal. She is estimated to be 10-12 yrs old and weighs ~10 lbs. Bella seems to be potty trained. She is fine with similar size/energy level dogs in her foster home. Nervous around bigger, energetic dogs. She has good leash manners and gets excited when she sees her harness. Bella loves people and wants to be with her person all the time. She has a little separation anxiety and can be vocal when left alone. Bella will do best in a home where someone is with her most of the time. She has some hearing loss and will need a fenced yard to be safe. Bella enjoys doing zoomies and chasing squirrels in the backyard. She also likes couch cuddles and watching TV. Bella has been diagnosed with pancreatitis and will need to stay on prescription GI-low fat food to prevent future flareups.

Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee:  $500.00   JJ   Ready for a burst of energy? Heeeeee's JJ! He just turned 1 year old and is bursting with energy, love and curiosity! He weighs 7 pounds. He loves to play with squeaky toys. He's housetrained...pretty much! And he loves to play. JJ would do best with a playmate. He sleeps all night without needing to get up. Needless to say, he cuddles up close in the bed. Originally he was used to having a doggie door. But he does well if allowed out frequently. He does like to get into the bathroom trash can! But that goes with the curiosity. His family is moving to be closer to grandchildren and JJ just has too much energy for a toddler. Because of our Seniors for Seniors program, JJ will not be available to anyone over 70. He's just the sweetest baby imaginable! If you need a playmate for your current dog and have room in your heart for a loverboy, JJ is for you! He's having a great time with his foster brothers and sisters in Chattanooga, TN.   Fee: $500.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee:  $100.00   Grumpy   Surprise! Grumpy isn't grumpy at all...he's a old-timer sweetheart! We don't have an age but imagine it could be 12-14 years old. He weighs 12/5 pounds and is a diabetic. Grumpy came to SCMR from a Knoxville shelter where he was surrendered by his owner probably because of his diabetes. But he is so easy when getting his insulin shots...doesn't react at all. He loves everybody and other animals. Grumpy is being fostered in Rossville, GA. If you can't care for a diabetic but want to help Grumpy, please consider sponsoring him and becoming one of his angels to help SCMR cover the cost of his insulin and meds. Grumpy is grateful for any help!   Adoption Fee: $100.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Pinkie   This sweet girl is not a candidate for adoption at this time. She is around 8 years old and weighs in at a hefty 16 pounds. Pinkie came to us with mammary tumors, one of which had burst. After her first surgery, pathology revealed it was malignant. And the vet was not able to get clear margins. She has had more mammary tumors pop up and has had 2 more surgeries. We just don't know if the cancer will spread or not. Right now she is happy, relatively healthy (except for knowing her tumors were malignant) and is eating well. We are observing her to see if she starts showing signs of sickness. As long as she is otherwise well, we will take any more tumors off until/if they metastasize. So her future is grim. We regard her as terminal. We just don't know how long she has. If you would like to sponsor Pinkie and become one of her angels, we would be happy to post you as an angel for her. Donations for her will help to offset her surgical expenses. Until we know if she is going to make it or not, we don't feel it would be right to send her to a new home with all new people. If she's going to pass, we want her to be in the home with which she is familiar and with her rescue friends and foster mom who love her. Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences.
