Little Stevie Ray sure does get around amazingly well for being blind. His foster mom reports that he uses his nose as a guide and can find everything! He loves to play, take naps, and cuddle. He even prefers being carried around like a baby. Stevie gets along great with other dogs and would love to have a friend. He is not fully house trained, but can use belly bands while roaming freely in the house. His foster has him in a dog playpen at night to give him room to move incase of accidents. Stevie needs a home with humans that are patient with him. It will take a few days for him to get comfortable and house training is not always fun. He loves to roll around in the grass and stinky dirt, so be prepared for bathing too! He sleeps all night but usually between 7-8 am he barks to be taken out. After that he is content to go back and lay down. We know there is someone out there for Stevie Ray. He is just waiting until that special person finds him and can see him as the precious little gem that he is! He is nine years old and weighs around eight pounds. Our adoption fee helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home! While expenses for each animal varies, the average healthy dog or cat receives $500 in medical treatment between intake and adoption. Variables in the cost are conditional based on guest needs with some topping out at thousands of dollars. Lacey is a 4-5yr old maltipoo who is paralyzed and incontinent. She gets around great and is amazing for her diaper changes. She sleeps in bed with her foster mom and for the most part keeps to herself. She doesn’t mind the other dogs in the home and does well with older children. Story
Kody is a 5 year old Maltese mix who came to our rescue from Georgia after being hit by a car and left outside for 24 hours. He had a broken pelvis that has now healed. He needs time to trust his person and once he does- he attaches himself to his person. If you aren’t willing to give him time to adjust and trust you and push him instead- please don’t apply. He will offer to bite if he isn’t given time to decompress. He is good with other dogs. No issues from prior injuries - healed and happy! Kody would do best in a home with older children. **All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and on prevention for heartworms, fleas, and ticks.
