Me Irving! These nice people rescued me from a shelter when the ones who used to have me never showed up. Shelter said me broken so these peeps took me to dogtors to see if they can fix me. The dogtors took X-rays and a cat scan (but I never saw the cat!) They said me have old breaks in my hips and pelvis that had healed. Nobody fixed me at the time, so the breaks healed funny and now me can’t use one leg right. The dogtors are not sure if I will ever use that leg right but the nice Wescue peeps want to give me a chance. They are taking me for weekly pincushion treatment (I think they call it acupuncture) to see if the nerve damage will heal. The dogtors think my leg is showing signs of improvement. Me would love a patient family that will help me exercise my leg as it gets stronger. These peeps will be happy to talk to you more about my leg if you have questions. Age: 2 year old Weight: 9 lbs Dogs: Good! Cats: unknown Children: Good! Irving has been vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Cosette doesn't ask for much... she was used to pretty bad conditions when we got her so she are just happy to be anywhere she is taken care of. She came from a hoarding situation and was skinny, matted and covered with fleas and grime. We don't know how old she is... vets think somewhere between 8 and 12 years old, but we really can't tell by the usual means because of her condition. Cosette is blind from untreated cataracts and lost all her teeth due to not getting proper diet or care. She doesn’t think either is a handicap, though. She will learn her way around and has no trouble eating her kibble. Age: Senior Weight: 9 lbs Dogs: good Cats: not at all aggressive to cats Children: unknown Cosette have been vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Bean came from my two oldest pets a pug and my maltese mix. She's currently 4 years old, she's a very sweet dog. Very needy and loving. Active and loves to play. She does have a condition with her tear ducts, that they pop out when she gets excited cause her eyes are too small. She doesn't get along with her sister but she gets along with her parents. She's cautious and protective. A lil bit of a scaredy dog on walks. She looks aforable in clothes..I'd love her to go to a loving owner who has the time to give her the attention she seeks whos wanting to play with her outside and stuff.

Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. A FTA contract is required. HW+This sweet boy’s story is heartbreaking. Kevin was being surrendered to BARC when we happened to be there picking up Luna. He sat in the back of a pickup truck, confined in a wire crate under the blazing 90° Texas sun. BARC had already reached their daily limit for owner surrenders and it wasn’t even noon yet so they had to turn him away. We couldn’t walk away from him. We told his owners to wait across the street and, as soon as we finished with Luna, we met them there and brought Kevin to safety. Kevin is completely shut down right now. He’s so frightened. Every trip outside is spent scanning for escape routes. It’s clear he’s never known love, a gentle touch, or kindness. He’s lived his whole life just roaming, surviving, and avoiding danger. He’s learning, slowly, that he’s safe now. That human hands can comfort instead of hurt. And, not surprisingly, he tested heartworm positive, a direct result of long-term neglect. We will help Kevin heal, inside and out.
