I'm vision impaired, but I don't let that stop me, especially if I have doggie friends to help guide me. In fact, I feel most comfortable with dog friends. They make me feel calm! Since I'm a a little on the older side, I benefit from routine! I will fit wonderfully in a dog-friendly, structured household/ I'm perfectly housetrained, too, and take treats like a champ! I'm happiest when I'm curled up beside you, soaking in all the cozy moments life has to offer, whether it be snuggling on the couch or taking a mid afternoon nap. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This darling little girl is DARCY, a bit over 1 years old and 8 pounds.  She has pretty much reached her adult height and weight with maybe 1 pound to gain.  She is mostly Maltese and will need to be groomed every 2-3 months to keep her straight hair from tangling. DARCY is my shadow but she does not get in my way, she just likes to go wherever I go.  DARCY does go outside to play with a couple of Shih Tzu's and have fun.   DARCY can be a bit of a diva and a bossy little girl to the other dogs.  She just tries to keep them in order.  But she plays well with the others and she loves to cuddle.  She is about 75% potty trained.  I do not have a doggy door and let her out to potty with the other dogs and she does just fine.  She is completely crate and house trained.  I have no problem leaving her alone in my home with my personal dogs while I am gone.  She is not destructive or get into personal items. I do not have any cats so I do not know how she would get along with them.  It took DARCY about 2 days to get to know me and show her real personality so some patience is required but then she becomes your shadow and best friend. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Someone dumped this bonded pair of gals severely matted and full of fleas.  They are very happy now that they have been groomed.  They are in a foster home with another foo foo dog.  They are kinda shy and timid at first but bond to people.  They are crate trained and leash trained.  They use a doggie door to go into back yard that is securely fenced.  They love hanging out with people and on the furniture. This bonded pair will require a securely fenced yard and frequent grooming.    San Antonio area has over 800,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate.
