Hi, I'm Kaylee! I'm a pretty 11-years young Maltipoo who may be a little hard of hearing, but my heart hears everything that matters. At 13 lbs of pure sweetness, I ended up at the local shelter through no fault of my own, and now I'm ready to find the loving home I deserve. The ladies here at FCCR say I'm the definition of "good girl." I love everyone I meet, have impeccable house manners, and get along wonderfully with other dogs. While I do need a consistent potty routine to stay on track, I'm a very good eater (my favorite room is definitely the kitchen!) and I only bark a tiny bit when dinner is being prepared – though I'm perfectly patient waiting for my bowl to be set down. I'm a super chill senior looking for someone who appreciates that the best things in life are a good meal, a cozy spot, and people who love you. Ready to give me a home for the golden years I deserve? I'm waiting to meet you – probably in the kitchen. Apply to adopt me here: www.floridacockerrescue.org Adoption fee: $295

Story
Bonjour, I’m Pierre! I’m a dapper 12-year-old Poodle mix boy weighing in at about 10 pounds of pure charm. I was found as a stray and ended up in a local shelter, but those days are behind me now — I’ve discovered the good life and I am NOT looking back. When I arrived, I was a little thin, but I’ve been eating four small meals a day like the refined gentleman I am, and I’m filling out beautifully, thank you very much. I’m also learning to walk on a leash and getting better every single day — slow and steady wins the race, and I am absolutely winning. I’ve met lots of little dogs in the neighborhood and we get along famously, and I even held my own with a big dog once — lots of very important sniffing was done. Now, I do have cataracts, so I bump into things occasionally, but honestly I navigate my foster home like a pro and it barely slows me down. What I may lack in perfect vision I more than make up for in personality and love. I am a LOVER of people — kids, adults, everyone. The neighborhood kids know to approach me slowly, and then it’s all kisses and cuddles from there. I am a certified lap dog. Working from home? I’m on your lap. Watching TV? Right beside you. I sleep in my crate at night like a good boy, but mornings mean snuggle time in the big bed and that is my favorite part of the day. Oh, and I am completely house trained — I actually let my foster mom know when I need to go out. A gentleman through and through. If you’re looking for a sweet, loving senior boy who will be your constant companion and your heart dog, I am your guy. This older gent has so much love left to give! Story
Hi there, I’m Hermie! I’m a sweet 5-year-old boy poodle mix weighing just 11 pounds, and I’m looking for that one special person to be my whole world. I’m very loving and affectionate with excellent manners – I’m house-trained, crate-trained, sleep in my own bed like a gentleman, and I’m even polite enough to wait until other dogs finish eating before checking for crumbs! I ride well in the car, walk great on a leash, and I get along with other dogs. And I LOVE to sit on the back of the couch and play with my toys! Now, here’s what makes me unique: I’m a one-person kind of guy who forms a VERY deep bond with my human. When I love, I love big! I can be a bit protective of my special person and I’m not always thrilled about strangers getting too close – I like to keep my circle small and my devotion big. Because of this, I need an experienced adopter who appreciates a pup with a strong personality and can guide me with confidence. I have been living in multi-dog foster homes recently and I’m learning to share my human’s attention so I think a calm, adult-only home with at least one other dog or multiple dogs would be ideal for me. No kids, please. Oh, and I eat a special Rx food due to a sensitive stomach – just a little detail to keep me feeling my best! I’m ready to be someone’s devoted companion and shadow. Are you ready for some serious loyalty? You can submit an application through the rescue website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $350.
