Story
Hi, I’m Marshmallow! I’m an adorable 8-month-old Maltese-Poodle boy who is ready to light up your life. I’m as sweet as my name, with a happy, playful personality that's balanced by a quiet, curious approach to life. I weigh just 7 pounds but don’t let that fool you. I bring a big heart to the world, wrapped in resilience and patience.
Favorite Things: Marshmallow enjoys connecting with people, big and small, as well as other animals. He can be a little timid when it comes to new places and loud noises and would thrive in a home where there is a confident, playful pup to help build his confidence. He loves toys - as many as he can find - and enjoys them even more if there’s another playful dog to share them with. And at the end of a busy day, he’s happy to settle in his dog bed or on the couch.
Training & Manners: Marshmallow is house trained in his foster home where he is let out regularly. He has good basic house manners but will need more practice walking on a leash. He loves a car ride and sleeps soundly in his dog bed at night.
Health & Care: Marshmallow is neutered, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. He’ll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. This handsome guy will also need regular brushing and professional grooming every 6 -8 weeks to look and feel his best.
Other Animals: Marshmallow has experience with other dogs, especially the playful kind, as well as cats, and gets along well with all.
Children: This sweet, playful boy is perfect for gentle, dog-savvy kids who will be mindful of his small size.
Ideal Home: Marshmallow could do fine in an apartment, condo, townhome or single home. He can be left alone in the home for a few hours in a secure space without issues.
Overall: If you’re looking for a sweet young pup with a big heart, Marshmallow might be the one for you. If you think he might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $600.
