Story
Meet Guillermo! (Age 9) He spent his entire life with my mother-in-law, who recently passed away. We are the only surviving family and we’re unable to take him in. He’s used to lots of companionship & attention, and was rarely left alone.He’s a loving, happy dog & gets so excited to see his people! He’s very affectionate.He struggles with anxiety, especially during changes in routine & separation. He takes Prozac, which helps significantly.We want to be fully transparent: he has bitten two adults. These incidents occurred during unwanted handling or attempts to move him. He never exhibited these behaviors before his brief stay with us.He has lived peacefully with our dog & cat, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with other pets.He needs a quiet, adult-only home with an experienced owner who understands anxiety, bite risks, & positive, patient handling. Ideally, someone who is home often & can continue his care.
