Story
I've had Nina for a few years now, she was rehomed with us after her previous owner died. She's a good cat, but ever since the end of last year she's been having behavioral issues. At first, I thought she might have a medical condition, and I do suspect she might be pre-diabetic, but I've turned that around with changing up her diet to just proteins and lots of water, and she's fine now. While she was sick though, I live in an apartment complex, and when she was sick she was messing on our carpet, and she's potty trained so I knew that was off, but now that she's better she's still doing it and it seems she's doing it to be spiteful. I work full time and go to school so I'm gone a lot, and I don't know if she's acting out because I'm not here a lot anymore, but unfortunately, I can no longer care for her properly. She needs an owner who can give her more attention and time. Again, she's a good cat, I just can't care for her the way she needs me to.

Story
Luke and Leia were saved from being euthanized at the shelter due to them being manx. Luke (orange tabby) sometimes falls over, has some weakness in back legs but nothing major. He is able to stand and run. Leia has no issues. They both use the litter just fine. They are super loving and adorable. They love human interaction.

Story
The mother of the kitten had left her behind in our backyard after being born. That was like around six or 7 months ago. We decided to care for her we bottle fed her. She's potty trained she had a litter box outside. She's is a really loving and calming cat. She gets along with dogs.We named her meow meow. After months passed we had notice that our youngest son had these bumps inside his nose and started to get rashes all over his body. We decided to take him with a specialist to see what those nose bumps were. We found that are a called nasal polyps. There was something triggering him. We found out he was really allergic to cats and dogs. We were very upset to know that he was allergic. We also had a female dog we had to rehome her to a family member. We haven't had any luck finding meow meow a home.

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Maple is 9 months old and in search of her forever home. She is a beautiful Manx girl and was the smallest and shyest of her litter. But we are happy to report she has turned the corner and has blossomed into a more trusting girl. She was recently introduced to one of our newer rescues named Billie and well let's just say he has brought out the best in her. If you are looking for a dynamic duo to adopt together, please read his profile too. We think she will still need a little time to warm up to her humans in a new environment, but we know gaining her trust will be worth it, as she has a quiet charm about her, and the right home will continue to help her blossom. If you have another kitty that you are looking for a friend for, please consider Maple as she would be a great companion for a resident cat. Since becoming more confident the past month she has found her purr machine, and it has been going nonstop now. She is such a cutie pie, and we know her forever home will see her post and know they need to give this sweet girl a chance. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.May 16, 2024, 12:24 am

Story
#A5606572 Stubby has a stump tail and we can’t tell if he was born that way and is a purebred Manx, or if he lost his tail to an injury. Either way he is a personality plus cat who loved playing with our feather wand during his photo shoot. Cute with jersey cow patches, he’s black and white and adorable. Surrendered by owner on February 8, Stubby is about 14 pounds and 7 years old. His shelter notes say he has some issues with his teeth, but even in the clinic he was easy to handle and friendly. A nice cat for any cat loving home, Stubby is a fun friend, neutered, vaccinated and ready to go home!
