Story
DOB 5/1/26 Shadow is a cute, sweet tabby Manx (no tail at birth) who likes to play and socialize. He gets along well with people and all of his siblings. Shadow has fun racing through and playing in cat tunnels. He grabs strings, twitching tails, wiggly toes, and feather wands. He races after balls and plastic springs. Shadow is stealthy and sneaky; he appears out of seemingly nowhere to attack a toy or a sibling. He curls up on a lap on the couch and purrs for head and back scratches. Shadow will thrive in a home with other young, playful feline companions and loving people. He is not a solitary boy, needs action and interaction to be his best cat self. PLEASE READ Adoption Fees: • $100 for adults (12+ months) • $150 for kittens (under 12 months) All cats adopted through Silverton Cat Rescue come spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and have received age-appropriate vaccines. We are not first-come, first-served. Our goal is to match each kitty with the purrfect home. Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, run entirely by volunteers. All cats live in foster homes. Please be patient as we coordinate with fosters to arrange meet-and-greets. Why Most of Our Kittens Are Adopted in Pairs Kittens are highly social and thrive when they have a feline companion. A buddy helps them develop healthy play habits, confidence, and emotional well-being. Experts recommend adopting two kittens together, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat at home. Surprisingly, two kittens are often half the work of one—they keep each other entertained, comforted, and well-socialized. Adoption Requirements To ensure safe and compatible placements, we require: • A completed adoption application • A home visit Apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat Email: silvertonrescue@gmail.com or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.

Needs special attention,
Story
Meet Remus REMUS is a silky brown tabby, young-adult male Manx who knows how to ask for attention. He is very affectionate and will meow and stare at you longingly until you pet him to his heart's content. He does well being picked up but be ready for his stocky body as he does love his snacks. He loves to nap in sunny spots and tall cat trees. Toys are not of much interest to him--all he wants is human attention. His perfect day would include several meals a day, lots of naps, and a lap to lay on while he gets pet by his forever human. If you need a couch buddy, Remus is your guy! He would prefer to be the king of the castle but would do also do well with his brother Sirius (who will be ready soon for adoption). He does very well with dogs and is not bothered by them one bit. ****REMUS MUST BE ON A SPECIAL DIET, AND THEY NEED AN ADOPTER THAT HAS MANX EXPERIENCE, IS VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE SPECIAL NEEDS OF MANX CATS, OR IS WILLING TO LEARN**** REMUS has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. The $70 adoption fee for this special needs kitty allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
