Story
This Sweet guy is an adolescent boy who will need continued training and structure as an XL breed. He is off to a really good start with his manners and social skills but continuing to build this in his new home will help him be the best dog he can be. He is a big guy so a home with children 12+ or just adults would likely be a better fit for him. He has the potential to knock someone over as he doesn`t understand his size just yet and although the jumping is low he can get silly and move his body fast. He will require a group class or private consult as a part of his adoption. This guy is about 108 lbs currently and may have a bit of growing left.

Mystic is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as they are not available to meet on site.Age: 3 yearsWeight: 40.1kg / 88.4lbA little bit about Mystic:- Unknown history with children; all interactions should be carefully supervised by an adult- Unknown history with cats and other small animals; all introductions should be done slowly over a period of time- Unknown history with other dogs; potential for another dog in home pending successful introductionMeet Mystic, a big-hearted beauty with an even bigger love for people! This ~3-year-old girl has had a rough go adjusting to the shelter, but with time, patience, and some anti-anxiety meds to help her cope, her true personality is shining through—and it`s absolutely lovely.Mystic is incredibly affectionate and adores human attention. She’ll happily flop her jowls into your lap, lean in for ear scritches, and follow you around just to be close. She settles beautifully once she feels safe and has been a joy during office visits, snoozing quietly behind chairs and politely watching the world go by.She’s not food motivated (unless it’s wet food straight from your hand!), but she does know “sit” and is gentle and well-mannered. She walks well on leash, but she does love to stop and sniff, and will make sure you stop and sniff too! She would love a home that can offer her a consistent routine and lots of love.Mystic got her name for the way she casts a quiet spell on everyone she meets—and once you meet her, you’ll understand why.

Story
*Robin is currently on a `furcation` to get a break from the shelter, but will be back on site July 5th. Please email adopt@calgaryhumane.ca for an update!*Age: 1 yearWeight: 41 kgA little bit about Robin:- history with children; would do best with older kids/teenagers- unknown history with cats and small animals- history of living with dogs; potential for other dog in homeA little birdie told me she was looking for her forever home, and her name is Robin! With a delicate name like Robin, it`s hard to believe this tweetheart is 90 pounds of dog! This big, gentle giant is a total love bug, and she`s looking for a the perfect home to nest in. Robin hasn`t had the best first year of her life so far, but that doesn`t stop her from being super affectionate, playful and brave! In new situations, Robin may be a bit hesitant or reserved, but she quickly warms up with a little bit of patience, treats and pets. Once she knows her people, she sticks by them, always asking for cuddles or play time. She`s still a young dog, so when she gets too excited, she tends to get a bit jumpy and mouthy, which is why she would be best suited to a home with older children. Despite this, she absolutely loves kids - she just doesn`t recognize how big she is! Robin has lived with other dogs before and may do well having another canine companion going forward as well. If Robin sounds like the dog for you, make an appointment today!

Story
Age: 2 yearsWeight: 44.6 kg / 98 lbsA bit about Charmander:- unknown history with kids; all interactions should be supervised- unknown history with cats; slow, supervised intros recommended- unknown history with dogs; dogs okay pending successful introductionThe only thing we know about him is that he`s really, really sweet! Meet Charmander aka Prince Charming, who couldn`t be sweeter if he tried! This loveable pup adores attention, snuggles and pets! Found as a stray, his history is completely unknown, but with his endearing nature he shows signs of potentially doing well with new or inexperienced dog owners. Take note that he is a big boy though! While your queen sized bed may suddenly feel a lot smaller with Charmander around, will you even care? Probably not, when you have a Prince as handsome as Charmander to share life with!
