Meet Mr. Rogers 💙 Mr. Rogers is a 6-year-old Mastiff/Black Mouth Cur mix who came to us as a stray and, sadly, was never claimed. This big, handsome boy truly lives up to his name — he’s a gentle soul with a heart full of love and kindness. Mr. Rogers wants nothing more than a warm, cozy home where he can finally relax and be someone’s loyal companion. He is a very sweet, easygoing guy who does best with calm, respectful dogs that aren’t all up in his face. His demeanor is laid-back and affectionate, making him a wonderful match for someone looking for a steady, loving presence rather than a high-energy pup. Cats are currently unknown, but his overall gentle nature suggests he could continue to blossom with the right introductions and patience. If you’re searching for a loyal, big-hearted best friend who’s ready to leave the shelter behind and settle into home life, Mr. Rogers is waiting to meet you. 🐾

Meet this sweet, easy-going girl!She has adjusted beautifully to home life and fits right into a daily routine. She’s food-motivated, eager to please, and quick to learn, making her very trainable and a joy to work with. She has a nice balance of energy—calm and relaxed around the house, but always ready for fun. She loves playing tug or fetch in the backyard and occasionally shows off her adorable zoomies. She`s always down for some snuggles. Think “living weighted blanket.” She adores children and is patient, calm, and loving with them. At the park, she remains unfazed by bikes, scooters, and running kids, and she instinctively knows to be extra gentle with little ones. She loves other dogs and plays well, showing great social skills and letting other dogs take the lead. On leash, she walks nicely by your side without pulling and enjoys taking her time to sniff and explore on walks. Email foster@alachuacounty.us to arrange a meet and greet!

INCOMING! I`m silly Lilly, and I`m a whopping 80 pounds of pure love. I cherish every second of every day with my human by my side. I will park my round booty right in your lap, begging for scratches. I don`t mind going for a walkabout around the town, checking out all the sights and smells, then splooting in the backseat on the way home. My main quirk is that I`m not the biggest fan of other pets and prefer to have human attention all to myself, but I DO love all humans, kids included!
