In a home, he’s shown he can be a calm, easy companion—he’s house-trained, crate-trained, rides well in the car, and knows basic commands like sit, down, and stay/crate. He enjoys a quiet environment and being close to his person.Henry does form strong attachments and will need a home willing to help him work through separation anxiety with patience, structure, and support as he builds confidence being alone.He has done well with other dogs, often taking a more laid-back approach at first but beginning to engage in play more over time.Henry is not suited for a home with cats, as he has shown a strong prey drive.At heart, Henry is a loyal, gentle dog who thrives with companionship. With the right home, he has all the potential to continue growing into a wonderful best friend.

While he is a quiet and respectful roommate, he has become grumpy with smaller animals in his old age and prefers not to share his space (or his rawhide bones!) with other dogs or cats. These should not be given to him at all anymore, as he becomes territorial. Personality: He takes direction very well and is generally a quiet companion who only barks when he needs to let you know something. If you are looking for a loyal, well-behaved companion to keep you company, Diesel would love to meet you!
