Story
If you’re looking for the world’s worst guard dog… congratulations, you’ve found him. Baloo might look like a big, tough mastiff with his giant blocky head and strong build, but this boy is made entirely of marshmallows and love. His life goal is simple: give as many face smooches as possible and make sure every human within reach knows they are adored. Baloo is a laid-back, go-with-the-flow kind of guy. He’s relaxed around other dogs and perfectly happy lounging around the house with his people. He’s the type of dog who enjoys just being near you, soaking up attention and handing out affection whenever possible. But the moment a tennis ball appears… the chill disappears. Suddenly Baloo transforms into a big goofy athlete with one mission: get the ball. For a dog with such a big, meaty head, he is surprisingly obsessed with tennis balls. Toss it once and you’ll see his playful, silly side come to life. Once playtime is over though, Baloo returns to his natural state which is cuddly couch companion. Post-play snuggles are a non-negotiable part of his routine. Baloo is also a proud graduate of the Hamilton Hounds prison training program, where he worked on his leash skills and basic obedience. He walks nicely on leash and would thrive with a family willing to continue the structure and training he’s already learned while building a strong bond with him. This big, squishy lovebug is simply looking for someone who will toss a tennis ball, share the couch, and accept unlimited face kisses. If you want a gentle giant with goofy charm, chill vibes, and a serious tennis ball addiction, Baloo is ready to roll right into your heart. 🐶🎾

Story
I Adopted Duke back in 2021 during the start of the new year. He was already big when I got him, his previous owners didn’t say his age, but that he was house trained and great around kids. Duke is a gentle giant, who enjoys car rides, tennis balls, and butt scratches. He also enjoys warm baths, having his ears cleaned and being tucked in at night. Duke is scared of fireworks and gunshots, and doesn’t like getting his nails clipped. He also still shows signs that he is scared of being hit. Duke is genuinely a sweet boy who just needs more space and needs to be away from the city.
