Callie is active, affectionate and submissive. If you let her she'll be in your lap. Callie has great recall and good manners. She is sneaky any may counter surf or get into the trash if left accessible. Callie is timid toward new people but warms up. She recently has become very leary of a man in the household. She loves to go on car rides, run beside the car and play at lake lahontan! She is a inside dog and house trained. Callie is smart and knows how to open lever type door knobs because she doesn't want to be left alone. She has been around kids, women, and very playful with cats and dogs! If patient, we believe she can trust men if given the chance!

Meet Dutch! Dutch may look like a big mastiff, but don’t be fooled—he’s really a playful puppy at heart. He greets life (and people!) with unfiltered joy, sometimes leaping and bucking like a happy horse when he’s excited. Dutch loves to play and enjoys the company of other dogs, though his enthusiasm can sometimes overwhelm them, so he’s learning better manners when making new friends. He does well on a leash, enjoys splashing in the water, and never says no to a tasty treat. Fetch? Sure—Dutch will happily play a round or two, but then he’s ready to move on to his next adventure. He can be submissive and affectionate, showing his softer side once he settles. At about 70 pounds full grown and 3 years old, he is the perfect mix of energetic, loving, and goofy. Freckles, renamed from Perry by his foster because of his darling white freckles, was saved at the last minute from a high kill CA shelter. He is a gentle fellow, a perfect size at about 65 pounds, and as easygoing as they come with people, but seems to dislike other dogs and should be solo in the home. If you are interested in meeting him, please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.org and call 775-338-6631. We do not know how he is with cats, but his temperament is mellow so there's a good chance he would be okay. He is currently in foster in Truckee.March 31, 2025, 12:20 am
