Hi, I’m Bailey Mae! 🐾 I’m a 1-year, 9-month-old Mastiff/Blue Heeler mix, and I’m looking for a family who understands that sometimes the best things in life are worth waiting for. You see, I’m a pretty shy girl. New people and new situations can make me nervous, and I need a little time to decide that everything is going to be okay. When I first arrived at the shelter, I was not a fan of that person following me around with a camera. But look at me now! Sitting like a princess, posing for my photos and even offering my paw for a shake. That’s the thing about me — give me time, patience and kindness, and you’ll get to watch me shine. I’ve met other dogs and did well with them, and I’ve lived with kids before too. Once I’m comfortable, I can get a little excited and jumpy, so I’m still working on remembering all my best manners. But here’s the really good part: once I decide you’re one of my people, I am a total cuddle bug. There’s something pretty special about earning the trust of a scared dog, and I promise that when I finally let you into my heart, it will be worth the wait. My adoption fee is $300. Meet Thor! Thor is a 3-year-old Husky mix. He is vaccinated and neutered; this handsome boy came to us due to his previous family not having enough time to meet his needs. If we had to sum him up in one word, it would be "exuberant"—Thor is full of life, spirit, and enthusiasm! This guy thrives in the great outdoors. Whether he's romping through open spaces, exploring, or soaking up the fresh air, Thor is happiest when he can stretch his legs and burn off energy. Because of his high-energy nature, shelter life isn't the ideal environment for him—he's ready to get out and experience the world with someone who can keep up and give him the extra training he needs to be at his full potential! Thor is also incredibly sweet and eager to please. He also LOVES treats! Thor does have some prior experience with other dogs, but slow introductions (or foster-to-adopt) will help set him up for success. That being said, Thor would do best with an experienced dog owner! With the right companion by his side, this could truly be a match made in heaven!
