Story
INGRID IS UP FOR DIRECT ADOPTION! PLEASE NOTE INGRID IS A DIRECT ADOPTION FROM MEXICO. ONCE ADOPTED SHE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO ADOPTER. SHE IS ALSO AVAILABLE TO FOSTER IN ONTARIO/QUEBEC. We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Ingrid Age: 3 years old Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: 25 lbs Location: MEXICO (transport included in adoption fee) Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes, good with dogs, cat. Tested, not interested, children 10+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: Vision impaired/ sees shadows Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Poor little Ingrid, while living on the streets of Mexico, drank some antifreeze at an autoshopi and was rushed to our sister rescue SOS el Arca in Playa del Carmen. She stayed in intensive care for two weeks but pulled through, however, she was left almost blind. Ingrid can see shadows and once she knows “the lay of the land” she gets along just fine. Ingrid is a sweet little dog, she is playful and very food motivated, which will definitely help in assisting her with training. She is crate trained and does not mess in the shelter so we believe she is house trained. She loves to be near you and loves to stick by your side. Her ideal home would be one with a secure fenced in backyard or a condo/apartment with no other dogs, dog savvy cats would be fine. She needs special attention which is why we would prefer her as an only dog. Someone who has experience with a vision impaired dog would be nice but not mandatory. Ingrid deserves to be loved as she has had a rough time in her short life and we hope someone will give her the chance of a forever home that she so deserves. If you feel you would be the right fit for Ingrid, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

These pups are in King, Ontario too!

Story
Duke was surrendered to us because his allergies became so severe that his owner could no longer financially continue with his medical needs. Duke suffers from severe allergies - requiring a special diet and treats, as well as daily medications for his ears. Unfortunately, the infection in his ears is so severe that the ear canals have become so narrowed we are unable to look into his ears at all. If we are unable to resolve the infection, Duke will require a procedure that will remove both of his inner ears and ear canals. This is our last resort as this will result in Duke being deaf. Unfortunately for Duke, his allergies are only one of his ongoing medical issues. Duke needs to see a neurologist as he previously suffered a back injury that was not properly taken care of at the time. He will require a CT and MRI to assess his spine and nerve column as well as to assess his ear canals. He will also need to be neutered, and will also require a palate and nares surgery to ensure that Duke will be able to breathe and not suffer from difficulty. Even with all of these things against him, Duke is a happy and very friendly guy who enjoys the company of everyone.

Story
Jackson is looking for an adult only, very experienced home. He was surrendered to us and did not have a stable upbringing, which has caused some behavioural needs. He is very protective of his people and things, which can cause him to lunge and bite. Jackson is very loving to the people he trusts. He's playful, intelligent and goofy. He does well with dogs when given a proper introduction, but can be selective with who he likes. He loves car rides, swimming, and going on adventures. If you have a quiet and private home he may just be the buddy for you.

Story
Moka is a powerhouse ! This big girl takes a lot of time to warm up to new people but when she does she’s the most loyal girl. Moka loves chasing a ball, doing tricks for treats and getting lots of attention. Moka is looking for an adult only home with no other pets. Due to Moka’s behavioural challenges, she will bite strangers and dogs. Moka will need an owner with a spacious living environment in a neighbourhood away from lots of people and dogs. Moka will also need an owner to continue her muzzle training as she is very uncomfortable and aggressive for vetting and grooming. With patience and trust she is getting better with this.
