Hi there, I’m Phoebe! I’m 15 years old, 25 pounds, and a gentle soul looking for a patient and understanding forever home. I thrive in calm and quiet environments, and I’d do best with one or two older women who can provide me the time and space I need to feel safe. I’m a shy girl, and it may take me weeks—sometimes months—to come out of hiding willingly. With love and patience, I’ll start to follow you around and keep an eye on where you are. I’ve made great progress in my foster home, but I’ll need someone experienced and willing to help me continue to build my confidence. A few things to know about me: Men make me nervous: I’m not comfortable around men and may react strongly to them, so I need a home where this can be managed. I’m vocal: While I love to let my voice be heard, my foster mom has worked with me, and I’m learning to quiet down after a reminder or two. I’m house trained: I know my manners and enjoy being part of a peaceful household. I’m independent yet affectionate: Once I trust you, I’ll happily share my gentle heart and enjoy cuddles by your side. My favorite activities include lounging in my cozy bed, keeping close to my foster grandma, and exploring the backyard at my own pace.
