Story
This little gal is CHLOE, a 2-year-old, 7 pound mixed breed pup who is possibly a Chihuahua/Papillon/Miniature Pinscher mix - but it’s only a guess. Chloe gets along well with other dogs - it takes her just a day or two to feel safe with them; she now plays very well with the five other dogs in her fosters home. In addition, Chloe has done OK with the cat in her foster home too. Chloe is mostly housebroken now and is now potty pad trained. She loves to play with squeaky toys and chew bones.       Chloe came to our rescue after being abandoned by her family in a loud noisy city; this poor tiny girl hid under a porch for a week until a good samaritan found her. Although Chloe was initially very fearful, she has settled-in to her foster home and has revealed herself to be a very sweet, spunky, and loving dog. Chloe will need time, patience, and understanding as she transitions into a newly adoptive home/family. She is still scared of unfamiliar spaces as well as loud noises - she generally has a more nervous personality - but we believe Chloe will continue to calm down and settle through a nurturing adopter. Once she is trusting of her human she will become your best friend - she will sleep right next to you under the covers, and lay on your lap/belly while you watch TV.      ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:  Chloe must have a fenced in secured yard, and another dog in the home to play with and for confidence. This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, been tested for diseases, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available upon request at acaringplace@comcast.net  A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. Story
Hey there, I’m Brewski! 🐾 I’m a 2-year-old handsome guy who can be a little shy at first, so I’ll need a bit of time to get to know you—but once I do, I promise I’ll warm up and be your loyal sidekick. 💙 I’m super curious about my surroundings and love to investigate everything… think of me as your personal TSA agent, always making sure things check out! 👀✈️ I’m also a very good listener (okay, maybe a little nosey 🤭), and I like to stay in the loop. Don’t be surprised if I gently use you as a step stool to get a better view of what’s going on—I just hate missing out! With patience, love, and a little understanding, I’ll blossom into the sweetest companion you could ask for. 🏡✨ Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. I hope to meet you soon! All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

Story
Once upon a time, this dog answered to the name Savage. After two returns, we decided the name was less branding and more prophecy. So we scrapped it, cleared the emotional air, and gave him a name that reflects who he actually is-not who chaos thought he might be.*Meet SAMMY*Sammy is a young Miniature Pinscher looking for his forever home. This time, we`re doing things thoughtfully, realistically, and with full transparency-because Sammy deserves the right match, not just a match.Sammy makes an excellent first impression. He`s adorable, compact, and textbook Min Pin stylish. He`s affectionate, animated, and deeply invested in being part of your daily routine-even the parts that do not require assistance. Once he feels safe, he`s a world-class cuddler who will stick to you like Velcro and take that responsibility very seriously. He is crate-trained and thrives with structure. When left alone or unsupervised, crating is a must-because Sammy has a strong belief that unattended food is community property. He`s housebroken on a consistent schedule, knows sit and down, and eats like someone might steal his meal, so a slow feeder is required.Sammy is dog-friendly with proper introductions and loves to romp around with his foster sister. He enjoys car rides, and absolutely loves his walks. At home, he channels his joy through high-speed zoomies while proudly parading a toy like a victory flag. Give him space to burn energy, and afterward he`s perfectly content to chew a Nylabone and settle in for calm, close companionship.Cat compatibility? Well, Sammy is intensely curious about cats and initially reacts with enthusiasm best described as socially overwhelming. He wants to investigate, engage, supervise, and possibly narrate. With calm leadership and management, he may be able to coexist peacefully-but this is not a plug-and-play situation and needs to be taken seriously. Now for the fine print, if you will:Sammy can be unsure when new people enter the home and may bark while he evaluates the situation. He can also show moments of possessiveness. These behaviors are manageable with consistent handling, clear boundaries, and a confident adult who understands canine body language.Because of this, Sammy requires an adult-only home-one that respects structure, routine, and the reality that small dogs are not automatically `easy dogs.`But you`re not doing this alone! Sammy will be placed through
