Story
Name: Cash Breed Guess: Miniature Pinscher Age: 9 years old Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 20 pounds Adoption fee: $300 Am I good with: Children: No Cats: Yes Dogs: Yes, Meet and Greet Required About me: Hi, I'm Cash! I'm a quiet little guy with a gentle heart who just needs some time to feel safe. I'm very shy and tend to bond best with kind and calm women; men aren't really my thing, but I can live with them if I have a woman in my life too. I'm carrying a few extra pounds right now, so I'll need a little help getting back to my best self with light walks and healthy snacks. I may take a while to warm up, but once I trust you, I'll be your loyal little shadow. I've been at the ARP since 6/9/25 and am currently located in foster. The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Story
Bubby is a great little guy! He gets along with other dogs, and is doing very well in his foster home. Bubby is a little shy at first meetings, but once he knows you which does not take long, he is your best friend. A fenced yard is preferred, and a home with older children. Bubby is quite the cuddler and loves to sleep with his person. This little Chi mix is both charming and sweet!DOB 2/16/22 Pounds 7.2I'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes.
