I might be a little small, but I have a big heart, and I'm ready to tell you my story! I’m a 3-year-old Dachshund / Miniature Pinscher mix, and I’m looking for a family who will love me forever. ​Things have been a little confusing for me lately. My old owners left me at an elderly couple's house. They were very nice to me, but they realized a young active dog like me needs a home that can keep up with my energy and give me all the care I deserve. So, they reached out to the wonderful humans here to help me find my perfect match!

Meet Bennie! Bennie is a strikingly handsome young Miniature Pinscher mix with a playful spirit and so much potential! Bennie's journey hasn't been an easy one. He was found as a stray and taken to a rural shelter before one of our rescue partners reached out to help him find the fresh start he deserved. Now safe with us, Bennie is settling in nicely and showing us more of his wonderful personality every day. Bennie can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, his sweet and fun-loving side quickly shines through. He has a playful energy and is always trying to convince his canine roommate that it's time for a game! Because of his personality, we think Bennie would thrive in a home with a well-mannered, confident female dog who can help show him the ropes and build his confidence. While we don't know how Bennie does with cats or young children, we think he would likely do well in a home with respectful teenagers. As a young, athletic dog, Bennie is ready for a family that enjoys getting outside and including their dog in life's adventures. Whether it's hiking, exploring new trails, or simply taking long walks together, Bennie is eager to be your sidekick. He's also looking for a family committed to helping him continue learning the basics and building his confidence through positive reinforcement and training.
