Story
Meet Spicy Ramen Noodle! At just 7 pounds, this adorable little poodle mix is equal parts cute, quirky, and endearing. Everyone who sees him falls in love instantly. But Ramen's favorite thing in the world is other dogs. In fact, he is completely smitten with his foster home's resident dog, Hazel, a 70-pound gentle giant who has taken on the role of emotional support dog. Having a confident canine friend nearby helps Ramen feel safe and brave as he navigates the world. Ramen is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which means his activity must remain limited for now. Because of this, leash training has been restricted to short potty outings during the cooler parts of the day, and he is still learning that leashes aren't so scary. At night, he sleeps comfortably in an office setup with his bed, food, water, and pee pads. He occasionally uses the pads overnight but generally prefers to potty outside. He travels calmly in a crate and recently impressed everyone by doing wonderfully at the groomer. Food isn't high on Ramen's list of priorities. He prefers to eat his meals during the middle of the night after everyone else has gone to bed and the house is very quiet. Because he can be a little difficult to catch when he's feeling uncertain, he wears a lightweight house leash. He allows himself to be picked up and will sit for pets in your lap, although for now he still tends to seek comfort from his canine companion more than us humans. However, in just three weeks of foster care, Ramen has made remarkable progress. He now plays a game of "touch", running up to boop your hand. If he's relaxing in his bed, he'll sit quietly for pets, and he's recently discovered that belly tickles are fun and rolls over for more. Ramen will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. A confident resident dog is a must. With routine, kindness, and a little encouragement, this spicy little noodle is blossoming into a funny, affectionate, and incredibly rewarding companion.

Story
Orzo is a sweet and quiet girl with a gentle heart and a soft presence. At around 15 pounds, she's the perfect petite companion for someone who appreciates the quieter side of life and is willing to let a friendship grow at its own pace. She is crate trained and leash trained. She is plays nicely with other small dogs and is happiest when interactions are low key and gentle. New people can make her a bit shy at first, and loud noises or sudden movements may startle her. Unfamiliar outdoor environments can feel overwhelming, but one thing that always helps is a tasty treat—Orzo is very food motivated and enjoys mealtime. Orzo is a sensitive, thoughtful girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and welcoming place. With gentle encouragement and positive experiences, she's already showing signs of growth. Giving her time to explore new sights, sounds, and situations at her own pace will help her continue building confidence. Orzo isn't the type of dog who will immediately dive into a busy social calendar or tag along on every adventure. Instead, she's looking for someone who finds joy in the little things like a peaceful walk, or a quiet evening at home. As she settles in and feels secure, we believe her personality will continue to shine. The bond you build with Orzo will be well worth the wait. For the right person, she'll be a loyal, loving companion who offers a special kind of connection built on patience, understanding, and trust.

Story
Meet Emma, a sweet Shih Tzu/Poodle mix weighing about 24 pounds and estimated to be 10 years old. She’s a quiet, chill little girl looking for a forever home where she can relax, cuddle, and simply enjoy life with her people.Emma is the type of dog who is happy just being near you. She loves belly rubs, enjoys lounging on the couch, and will also happily chill on the floor right beside you. When you come home, she’s always there to greet you at the door, and if you talk to her, her tail immediately starts wagging. Every now and then she’ll give a few sweet kisses too. She’s very easy on a leash and enjoys calm walks and sniffing around outside. She also absolutely loves car rides and makes the perfect little co-pilot for trips around town or long rides for a vacation. She does bark if the other dogs bark, and she enjoys watching squirrels and cats with the other dogs in the yard. Around the house, she’s mostly a laid-back couch potato who just wants a cozy place to relax and people to love.Emma does need rugs or traction on slippery floors because it can take her a moment to get her back feet underneath her on slick surfaces. Once she gets going, though, she does just fine.Emma has been through quite a bit medically and has handled it all like a champ. She previously had mammary tumor surgery that removed an entire mammary chain along with lymph nodes. She also had surgery to remove a large skin tag on her head and recently had a dental with extractions. She does have a heart murmur and takes Vetmedin twice daily to help manage it. Emma is fully vetted, medically cared for, and ready for her forever family.Emma also needs to lose quite a bit of weight, and we are already helping her work toward a healthier lifestyle.Despite everything she’s been through, Emma remains a loving, gentle companion who would be perfect for someone wanting a calm, affectionate dog to share quiet days, cozy evenings, and car rides with. ##2747842##
