Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster home Hi, my name is Shuna 🤍 I’m a female Schnauzer, weighing about 5kg (11 lb), and I’m only one year old—still just a baby. I was rescued from an animal hoarding situation. More than 80 dogs were crammed into a tiny space where it was hard to breathe. There were no arms to hold me, no one to protect me. I had to survive by guarding myself, all on my own. Every day was filled with anxiety. Every moment felt like competition. In that place, I didn’t even cry— I just endured… and endured again. Thankfully, I was rescued and brought to a training center. After my health check, everyone was surprised— my body was miraculously healthy. But in my heart, those memories are still deeply there. The moment I saw my trainer for the first time, I clung to their leg, almost desperately, begging to be touched. That’s how much I had missed human hands. That’s how badly I wanted to be held. With my tiny body, I was pouring out my whole heart. I truly love people. I’m very affectionate, I focus only on my person, and I find comfort and safety in human touch. I’ve never lived alone before, so I do have separation anxiety. That’s why I’m hoping for a home where someone can be with me most of the time, helping me feel secure. I get along well with other dogs, and I know how to socialize gently without fighting. Everything about home life is new to me. Living in a house, going on walks, spending ordinary days with people— I’m learning all of it, step by step. I’m only one year old, still so young. I’m looking for a family who will teach me with love, who won’t scold me when I make mistakes, and who will softly say, “It’s okay.” I’m a dog who wants to be loved— deeply, desperately. Affectionate, devoted, a dog who knows only people. Now, I hope for a day when I don’t have to cling and beg for love, but can naturally curl up in arms that are truly mine. I’m waiting— for a family who will hold me warmly and never let me go 🤍

Story
Location: Linden, AB // Age: Approx 5 Years Old // Weight: 15lbs // Sex: Spayed Female // Energy Level: Medium // Dogs: Yes // Cats: Untested // Kids: Yes, older dog savvy kids // Some love stories aren’t romantic… they’re legendary. Bonnie and Clyde have been side-by-side for a very long time, and they intend to keep it that way. They play together, nap together, explore together, and yes — occasionally bicker like siblings who have shared one toy for too many years. But at the end of the day, you’ll always find them curled up close, fast asleep, perfectly content as long as they’re together. These two are equal parts adorable chaos and heart-melting sweetness. Clyde is the tiny, busy, hilarious one. He bounces through life with enthusiasm, loves a good game of tug with Bonnie, and has the classic bold chihuahua personality that makes you laugh daily. He’s still learning his manners and would do best in a home that understands small dogs with big opinions and is happy to continue his positive, force-free training. He can be a bit particular about food and “his” favourite sleeping spots, and he sometimes gets nippy when he’s overly excited — all things that are improving with structure and consistency. He’s crate trained, mostly house trained, good in the car, and happiest when Bonnie is nearby. Bonnie is the social butterfly of the duo. She adores people, is curious about the world, and brings a lovely balance to Clyde’s antics. She loves toys, fetch, chew sticks, and of course, tug of war with her partner in crime. Bonnie is house trained, crate trained, walks nicely on leash (even if she does a few happy circles), and settles beautifully when left alone. She prefers people over other dogs and can be protective of food, so mealtimes need a little management — something she’s already learning in foster care. Together, they are endlessly entertaining. Watching them play tug is like watching a comedy show, and their nighttime routine of choosing beds near each other is guaranteed to melt your heart. Bonnie and Clyde are looking for a home that: *Understands and appreciates bonded dogs. *Is committed to continuing their training using positive reinforcement. *Has older, dog-savvy children or adults. *Is happy to manage feeding routines and continue working on manners. *Will keep them together, always. They have so much love to give and so much personality to share. If you’re ready for double the laughter, double the cuddles, and double the charm, Bonnie and Clyde are ready to steal your heart — together. Combined adoption fee: $850.
