Very bright and athletic, he is doing well in his home schooling. So if your aim is classic obedience trials or sports like agility and FastCat, Blane might be a good candidate. Or if you just want to take him along on your city or country adventures, Blane is very portable. He loves people, but is a bit too enthusiastic for young children or most cats. A well fenced yard is a must. He loves to taste everything, so supervision is needed. Once he winds down, Blane turns back into a sweet little shadow and lap warmer. He is housetrained, crate trained, leash trained, and gets along well with other dogs. We're not sure how he does with cats or children.We are always preaching the importance of monthly heartworm prevention, and unfortunately Charley didn't receive that protection. As a result, he had to go through heartworm treatment. The good news is that he completed treatment and is doing well, but he still needs a few more months of restricted activity while his body continues to heal.That means no running, no jumping, no zoomies, and no marathon walks just yet. Charley will need to be walked on a leash and kept calm while he recovers. Thankfully, that's not much of a hardship for this sweet boy. He's perfectly content lounging on the couch beside you, riding along for a pup cup, or enjoying a short stroll around the neighborhood.Charley may be on temporary activity restrictions, but he has a lifetime of love to give.
