Story
Fritzi may not fall for you at first sight, but give her a little time and she transforms into a full-blown teenage fangirl. Once you’re “her person,” expect leg hugs, happy woo-woos, and enthusiastic double-hand waves every time you walk in the room. She’s a top-tier nighttime snuggler and will quietly win the ongoing pillow war without you even noticing. Until she’s triumphantly snoozing on your favorite spot. Fritzi gets along beautifully with other dogs and fits into just about any family. All she asks for is a moment to warm up… and in return, you’ll gain the most loyal little shadow you could hope for. Fritzi is a 3 year old schnauzer. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines. And microchipped.

Rosie is very sweet and loves attention, little shy at first, but comes around fast.  Her scars are from abuse.  She was removed from a bad situation, but definitely doesn't hold a grudge.  Great with other dogs. Some of our dogs are adopted very quickly.  If you are truly interested in a dog fill out an application ASAP.  If you take the time to email a question someone will already be ahead of you with a completed application.  You can find all the information we have about a particular cat/dog at the link below as well.  Then click the adopt button to fill out an application. To be pre approved fill out an application at the link below.  You are welcome to come in anytime we are open to meet the cats and dogs.  If you are preapproved you can adopt on the same day.  We are open Monday-Saturday 1-4.  Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  https://arfok.org/pages/adoption Adoption fee is $150 for all dogs over 6 months old, $200 for large breed puppies under 6 months, $250 for small breed puppies and some pure breed dogs.  All adoptions include, spay/neuter, vaccines, a heartworm test, and a free 1 year membership to our 5 acre ARF Park.  For other dog questions please email ARFdogs74006@gmail.com We do adopt out of state, but the adopter must travel to ARF to meet the dog they are looking to adopt.  They must have an approved application before traveling to meet the dog.  We do allow small dogs that are eligible to fly in the cabin of a plane.  We DO NOT allow dogs to travel in the cargo area of the plane under any circumstances.  Any dog that is adopted can of course go by personal vehicle.  We do not allow dogs to be transported "pony express style" where they are passed from driver to driver.   ##2612800##

Story
This handsome boy is Freeman Xavier, he is 8 years old as of October 7th! He is a purebred schnauzer and has all his papers! Freeman is house trained and has the energy of a fresh puppy! He has not been around any children long term, only in passing and may be a little too energetic/hyper for a small child! Freeman is fine w other dogs for the most part, he has had plenty of sleep overs w dogs and has dog park/daycare experience. NOT GOOD W CATS!! Freeman is spunky, vocal and extremely playful; he needs an active family that has a house w yard space, and time to care for him. Maybe an older couple who has older children and is active or a younger couple who does not have any children yet. I love freeman w all of me, unfortunately I just work a lot and I live in an apartment so I do not have the time, space or energy to give freeman the life he deserves to have. Only willing to rehome him to the best fitting family for him!
