Story
Maggie was born in Berryville, Arkansas on September 30th, 2016 and weighs just under 7 lbs. She is a 7 yr old spayed female, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. She recently had her dental check up and cleaning, and had several teeth removed leaving her with one tooth. She will require a soft food diet as this is new to her. She loves anyone, especially males. She easily welcomes anyone. She loves food, but her favorites are fresh strawberries, and as soon as you start cutting them, she is pawing at your legs. She also loves green beans, scrambled eggs, and boiled/baked chicken and rice. Unlike her brother, Waylon, she does not play with toys. Her favorite game is when you put your hand under the blanket and wiggle your fingers and make noises. She loves to play growl, and playfully attack your hand. She also loves to zoom around, chase her brother, and when you jump in her path and “roar” at her, and pretend like you are going to chase her. She does not mask her feelings, and will wag her butt so hard her whole back end shakes, when she is excited to see you. She loves car rides, especially if they aren’t to the groomer, or the vet! All you have to do is grab the leash, or ask her is she wants to go for a R-I-D-E. We call her a “diva” because ,although she will sleep under the covers, she loves to sleep on one of her pillows. She won’t lay on it at night until it is “fluffed” and then she burrows in, and likes to be covered up at night. She is a beggar. She pretends she cannot jump up on the couch, bed, etc., but as soon you sit at the table to eat, you will see her head popping up above the table as she jumps up and down. She is not fully house broken, and will go outside to go potty, but will also stand at the door like she wants to go out, but does not bark, whine, or alert that she is there, so if you don’t know, she will walk away and pee on the floor. She is also stubborn and will run away when you open the door to let her out, so she doesn’t have to go out in the cold, snow, rain, etc. She is scared of loud noises like power tools, firecrackers, and thunderstorms. When she is scared, she will come seek you out to cuddle with her, and let her know it’s okay. She also likes to be cuddled into her carry bag and be carried around with you when she is scared. She does not wear clothes well, except for a jacket when going out for a walk in the cold. Unlike her brother, she freezes in place when you put a shirt or clothing on her, like she is a statue. Please keep in mind Maggie must be adopted along with her brother Waylon as a bonded pair. Maggies adoption Fee is $400. You will get copies of all medical records. If interested please go to www.yorkierescueofamerica.org to fill out an adoption application.

Story
Waylon was born in Berryville, Arkansas on May 5th, 2019 and weighs about 5 lbs. He is a 4 yr old, neutered male, microchipped, up to date on his vaccines. He recently had his teeth cleaned, and 6 teeth removed (four on the bottom in front, and two upper teeth in the back). He was purchased when he was about 4 months old. He has always been very nervous around new people, and protective of his person. He is an automatic alarm, barking anytime the garage door opens, someone is at the front door, or someone is about to enter the room. Since the moment we brought him home, he has looked to his big sister, Maggie, to determine what to do, what is safe, and where to go. He prefers females, but is fine with males he spends a lot of time with (husband, boyfriend, sibling, etc). He is fine to ride in the car, but until he is comfortable, it is best for him to ride in a carrier, because he tends to get car sick when he is very nervous, or on a long ride. Strangely, he does not seem to get air sick. He is scared of loud noises, like power tools, vacuums, blenders, etc., but he does not seem to mind, loud movies, thunderstorms, and fireworks. Although he doesn’t like the vacuum, he doesn’t seems to mind the broom, but the mop is an evil stick that must be barked at, and nipped when it moves across the floor. Maybe it’s a Shitzu in disguise? He wears a belly band during the day (not at night) because he loves to mark the house. He never started marking until after he was neutered. He’s been checked out and has no underlying health problems that would cause this, and his vet believes he is just holding a grudge. He loves his squeaky toys, and has his particular favorites. He learned to play fetch as a puppy to wear him down before bed, so he will bring his favorite toy up and drop it near you in hopes you will throw it so he can fly off the bed, grab it, and bring it back. Sometimes he likes to play a little tug-o-war, or keep away with it for fun. His favorite place to sleep is under the covers with his humans. He is spoiled and loves to sleep on a body pillow next to his person, under the covers. He usually gets up at least once in the middle of the night to go out, and get a drink of water. If you don’t lift the covers for him to get under, he will gently paw at the pillow next to your head to alert you that he is waiting. His favorite foods are fresh strawberries, scrambled eggs, green beans, and boiled/baked chicken and rice. Although, he will jump on the table and eat anything if you leave it and walk away. He is familiar with a pool, but doesn’t really like to swim. He prefers to float on the pool float with his person, as long as he trusts them. Waylon will wear clothes, shirts, jackets, just fine. Unlike his sister, Maggie, who will freeze in place like a statue. He has never been abused or traumatized, but for some reason he is more trusting of women (maybe softer voices, or graceful movements) and will attach himself to one person, and follow them everywhere like a shadow. He is fine with men, and would do well with a couple, and his bonded sister, Maggie. If you are interested in Waylon who is part of a bonded pair with Maggie, please fill out an adoption application at www.yorkierescueofamerica.org. Waylon's adoption fee is $450
