Story
Meet Rodger Dodger
Rodger Dodger burst through the barn doors in early December and wasted no time making himself right at home. This pint-sized patootie arrived as a medical rescue, pulled from an overcrowded shelter where his injuries put him at serious risk. When shelters are overwhelmed, medical cases like Dodger often need a lifeline—and Furry Farm is proud to be that call for help.
Dodger came to us with a broken leg at the hip joint. After consulting with our veterinarian, the best path forward was an FHO surgery rather than amputation. He’s now about a month post-op and recovering like a total champ! With leash walks, rest, and lots of TLC from his foster family, he’s learning to confidently use his hind leg again and is expected to be ready for adoption in early February.
Personality-wise, Dodger is a classic Velcro dog—personal space is optional in his world. He’s affectionate, people-focused, and happiest right by your side. He lives with another dog in foster care, is crate trained and house trained, and does well hanging out with you on the couch watching netflix.
Dodger is a neutered male Yorkie mix, estimated to be 2–3 years old, and still very youthful in both spirit and energy. He is fully vetted and comes with:
Rabies,DHPPV, Bordetella vaccines
Deworming
Microchip
He’ll also go home with his leash, collar, food, and a few special toys to make his transition easier.
Adoption Fee: $200
Rodger Dodger has overcome so much already—and now he’s ready for the next chapter: a forever home of his very own.
