Meet Artex Found Dirty and Abandoned—Now Artex Is Ready to Know What It Means to Be Cherished ❤️ Breed: Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) Gender: Female | DOB: May 7, 2026 | Current Weight/Size: 15 lbs (Small) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Spay Pending (Age-Appropriate) | ✔️ Vaccinations Current for Age | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Artex's Story Artex's young life didn't begin the way a puppies should. She was found dirty, neglected, and abandoned, with no family coming back for her and no way to understand why she had been left behind. At such a young age, Artex should have been worrying about toys and playtime—not where she would sleep or who would take care of her. Thankfully, she was found and brought to safety. After good meals, proper care, and plenty of attention, Artex finally has the opportunity to enjoy the puppyhood she deserves. Artex is a sweet, curious young girl who is discovering how wonderful life can be when people are kind. She enjoys attention, playtime, exploring her surroundings, and being included in whatever is happening around her. Like any young puppy, she has plenty of energy and curiosity followed by those wonderful puppy naps. As a Yorkshire Terrier, Artex comes from a breed known for packing an enormous personality into a small package. Yorkies are intelligent, affectionate, confident, and deeply devoted to their families. They can be playful and adventurous while still loving nothing more than being close to their favorite people. Artex would thrive in a home that offers: Plenty of love and companionship Positive reinforcement puppy training Patient and consistent house-training Daily age-appropriate exercise and play Interactive toys and mental enrichment Continued socialization Regular grooming and coat care A consistent daily routine A safe indoor home where she's part of the family A lifetime of patience, stability, and commitment Artex has already experienced being left behind once. Her next family should be prepared to make a promise that lasts her entire life. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Artex is still a young puppy and has plenty to learn. Her adopter should be prepared for normal puppy behaviors, including chewing, teething, house-training accidents, playful energy, and lots of curiosity. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to start understanding her new routine 3 Months to fully settle in and feel at home Early positive reinforcement training and socialization will help Artex develop into a confident and well-mannered adult. Her new family should expose her gradually and positively to different people, environments, sounds, and appropriate animal companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Adopting Artex means making a lifelong commitment to her health and happiness. Her adopter will be responsible for: Completing all age-appropriate vaccinations Spaying when age-appropriate Routine veterinary wellness examinations Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention A nutritionally complete diet appropriate for her age and size Routine dental care Daily exercise and mental enrichment Continued training and socialization Regular brushing and professional grooming Veterinary care whenever illness or injury occurs Yorkies require consistent coat maintenance. Depending on how her coat develops and the length her family chooses to maintain, Artex will need regular brushing and professional grooming to prevent painful mats and tangles. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Artex, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving deserving dogs a second chance at loving homes. Artex was found dirty and abandoned, but that's only the beginning of her story. Now she's clean, safe, and waiting for the family who will fill the rest of her life with adventures, warm beds, belly rubs, and the security of knowing she'll never be left behind again. ❤️August 10, 2026, 3:59 pm

Meet Messi ⚽ Rescued from a Breeder—Now Ready to Fill Your Home with Fun and Love ❤️ Breed: Pomsky / Maltese / Shih Tzu Mix Gender: Male | DOB: April 27, 2026 | Weight/Expected Size: 10 lbs (Expected Small-Medium) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Neuter Pending (Age-Appropriate) | ✔️ Current for Age Vaccinations | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Messi's Story Messi's future changed the day he was rescued from a breeder and given the opportunity to experience life as a beloved family pet. Instead of a life centered around breeding, Messi now gets to enjoy everything a puppy should—playing with toys, making new friends, exploring the world, and soaking up all the love he can get. From the moment he arrived in rescue, Messi's playful personality has been impossible to miss. He's a confident, curious little guy who approaches every day like it's an exciting new adventure. Whether he's bouncing after a squeaky toy, zooming around the yard, or happily investigating something new, Messi brings energy and joy wherever he goes. This little boy has plenty of spunk and an outgoing personality, but he also has a sweet, affectionate side. After he's finished playing, he's more than happy to climb into your lap for cuddles or curl up beside you for a well-earned nap. He loves being around people and enjoys being included in everything the family is doing. As a Pomsky / Maltese / Shih Tzu Mix, Messi is expected to be intelligent, affectionate, and full of personality. The Pomsky contributes curiosity and playful energy, the Maltese is known for its gentle, people-loving nature, and the Shih Tzu adds loyalty and an easygoing temperament. Together, these breeds create a bright, social companion who thrives on interaction and family life. Messi would thrive in a home that offers: Plenty of playtime and daily exercise Positive reinforcement training Interactive toys and mental enrichment Continued socialization with people and other dogs A consistent daily routine A safe indoor home where he's included as part of the family Lots of love, patience, and lifelong commitment Messi has been given a wonderful second chance, and now he's looking for a family that's ready to laugh, play, and create a lifetime of memories together. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like all puppies, Messi is still learning about the world around him. His new family should expect normal puppy behaviors, including chewing, teething, playful zoomies, and lots of curiosity as he explores his surroundings. Messi is eager to learn and will flourish with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Starting training early will help him develop into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Messi will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training House-training and consistent routines Daily exercise and supervised play Continued socialization with people, dogs, and new environments Mental stimulation through enrichment toys and puzzle games Plenty of patience, encouragement, and affection With loving guidance and structure, Messi will grow into a loyal, confident companion who will bring joy to his family for years to come. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, veterinary care, exercise, and companionship. As part of responsible pet ownership, Messi will need: Completion of his puppy vaccination schedule and routine wellness examinations Neutering when age-appropriate, following his veterinarian's recommendation Monthly flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention A nutritious diet that supports healthy growth and development Daily physical exercise appropriate for his age Continued obedience training and socialization A safe, loving indoor home where he is treated as a cherished member of the family Because Messi is still growing, strenuous repetitive exercise and excessive jumping should be limited until his joints have fully developed. We recommend scheduling a wellness examination with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and ensure he continues to thrive. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Messi, please complete an adoption application by visiting: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at a loving home. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States, helping deserving dogs like Messi find loving homes no matter where they live. Messi is ready to trade his past for a future filled with adventure, belly rubs, and a family who will love his playful spirit every single day. ❤️August 10, 2026, 3:59 pm

Story
Boris is a Yorkie terrier mix, around 20 lbs, born October 3rd. Excitable, full of personality, loves tossing rocks/small objects in the air just for fun. Great with other dogs, does best with one around, and gets a bit anxious on his own. Vocal dog, playful chatter and dramatic whining, not just barking. Fully vaccinated, crate trained. Not fully potty trained: doesn't poop inside, but needs frequent trips out to avoid pee accidents (puppy pads help in the meantime). Had a leg fracture as a puppy, fully healed and cleared by a surgeon and his regular vet. Records available. Rehoming him due to a busier work schedule with out-of-state travel and some medical issues with my partner. He deserves more time and energy than I can give right now. Comes with his food, crate, leashes, and toys, including his favorite motorized ones.
