Story
LEO IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING ADOPTED** Leo cannot go home until December 5th after his neuter, but you can still come learn more about him! **Age: 3 yearsWeight: 27 kgA little bit about Leo: - kids unknown - cats / small animals unknown - history of some aggressive behaviours towards male dog in previous home, potential for select other dog in home pending successful dog-to-dogAll the way from the Yukon, it`s Leo the lovely Catahoula Leopard dog! He had to make the long journey from the Yukon here to Calgary as the temperatures in the northern Province was much too chilly for a short-coated boy like him! Now Leo is on the lookout for a nice warm, active home where he can get all of the playtime and cuddles!Because he is a breed known for being a working dog, Leo would thrive with lots of enrichment, puzzle feeders, and training to keep his big brain busy! Luckily he`s very good at not destroying his toys while he spends time in the office with staff. To help Leo manage with the cold weather, it would be beneficial for his new family to be able to provide him with doggy clothes to wear for trips outside when it`s cold (he`s still recovering from frostbite on his ears!). However, Leo doesn`t mind to be fussed over when it comes to putting on the clothes and because he can be a bit clingy for attention, probably even enjoys it!Most importantly with Leo, he has shown that he can get along well with female dogs but isn`t a big fan of other male dogs. Hopefully once he has recovered from his neuter he can regulate himself better and have many doggy companions! If you want to learn more about Leo and if he would be a good fit for your home, come visit the shelter soon! He can`t wait to meet you!
