Story
Hey, I'm Chickie! If you're looking for a loyal companion, I'm your girl. I'm a beautiful, roughly 9-year-old lady in search of my forever person. Imagine us playing together, relaxing, and watching your favorite shows – it sounds like a dream, doesn't it? I'm super motivated by treats and always eager to please. I absolutely love playing fetch. Don't let my age fool you; I've still got plenty of energy and spirit. Right now, I'd do best as your only pup, in a home without small children. So, if you're looking for a fun-loving and devoted friend to share your days with, look no further. Let's start our adventure together!

Story
Hi, I'm Marmaduke! You would never guess that I had a rough past because I am the sweetest boy. Even though I'm a big guy, I'm a lap dog at heart and I love to snuggle up with my family! I LOVE to bounce around, go for walks and hikes, and get all the attention! I am still young so I can be pretty energetic. I do well with kids as long as they are a little bigger so I don't accidentally knock them over. I'm a quick learner and would love to learn some new tricks with you! I promise to reward you with a lifetime of love and loyalty! I would like to meet any potential furry siblings before going home. Come and meet me today! I can't wait!No appointment necessary!Meet me at AAWL's Main Shelter!25 N. 40th StPhoenix AZ 85034602-273-6852Adoption Hours:Monday - ClosedTuesday - Friday & Sunday - 11:30am - 6:00pmSaturday - 10:30am - 6:00pm.AAWL requires that all adopted dogs leave with a leash and collar and all cats leave in a carrier.

Story
MEET  TANK5 !! Tank enjoys working, but he is also incredibly protective of his family. Because of his protective nature, he has been through k-9 training for aggressive dogs. He is obedient on command and working, but does not do well with visitors in his home. He behaves well on trail hikes and loves to swim. He has very good manners at home with his family. Tank would do well with a female owner who has experience with dominant breeds. He currently lives at home with 2 parents and 2 teenage boys, but does not tolerate all male visitors or children equally.    If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Story
MEET  BIRCH!!! Birch is sweet 2 year-old Pointer/Lab mix. He is timid and shy when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he shows his sweet and wiggly side. He will need a few days in a new home before he will start exploring and feeling more comfortable. Birch seems to warm up to women a little faster then men. Due to his shyness, Birch will need a home that offers him patience and time to realize he is safe and allow him to become a confident young man. Being that he is still a young guy, he does not have a lot of obedience training, however, he walks well on a leash and does not pull. While Birch loves to sleep in his crate and finds comfort in being in it, he is not yet at the point of being closed in. He is food motivated and is already starting to pick up on commands such as sit and lay down. Birch's toys of choice are stuffed animals and not so much on the balls or rubber toys. He does well with other dogs but is not quite at the point of playing yet. He will stand and watch and follow, but is not yet brave enough to romp around with them. He has been tested with large and small dogs and with proper intros, he should do well. Birch has not been around cats or children, but he has spent some time around chickens and has shown some interest in them. He is house trained but has not been tested with a doggy door. He has done really well at telling us when he needs to go out and once we got him on a regular schedule, he has not had any accidents inside. Birch loves to hang out on his dog bed with us and is very excited when dinner time roles around. He also has become quite the avid hiker! He currently gets fed twice a day and goes on evening walks. Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact (Current Owner of Dog):  Leanne  madroleanne93@gmail.com MEET  TAZZ !! Tazz is a sweet 5 year old girl who LOVES to play fetch!!   Tazz is GREAT with all people, including kids! She's a huge cuddle-bug who would love nothing more than a good snuggle with you when its quiet time.  She is already housebroken AND crate trained. Tazz is an excellent leash walker and loves to go for hikes! She would make a great partner for an active family who likes to take walks or runs. But she is a strong gal, so she'll need a strong handler. She is well trained and behaved and knows her basic commands. Tazz's favorite game is playing with the water from the hose! This gal might end up being a perfect pool pup! She's a great car rider and makes an excellent co-pilot, if you'd like to have a dog that you can take anywhere! At the end of the day she loves to simply snooze in bed with her owner.  Unfortunately Tazz has not had the opportunity to be around a lot of other animals yet, so a home with no cats or dogs would most likely be best.   Leash trained, Crate trained, Does well in a car, Likes to swim, Likes to fetch, Likes toys, Lap pet, Tries to escape, Playful, Affectionate, Eager to please, Intelligent, Even-tempered  If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com  PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue.
