Story
Freckles is a senior boy ready for his forever home. He is eager to please, extremely friendly and listens well. He likes to fetch and run, so an active person/family would be ideal. He is crate trained, potty trained and wants to be your new best friend. He does have a high prey drive, so squirrels beware. He didn’t quite know what to do about our neighbor cat who walked by him, so introductions might be possible, not 100% about cat interactions. He ignores turkeys, but is anxious to meet other pup friends. Best to have him on a harness if you are not a runner, he will pull - we are currently working on that.I also went on a Doggie Day Out Adventure with a volunteer on 2/24 and had a great time! Here is what my volunteer had to say about our adventure! `We went out to the Natomas Fish Hatchery and walked from there to Lake Natoma, which was populated with walkers, runners, boaters, families, fishermen, etc… Freckles, as I mentioned earlier, was great on leash! He seemed to enjoy the variety in terrain, all of the outdoors (including ducks and other birds), trails, including stepping into the lake a time or two! A woman stopped and chatted, wanting to know more about Freckles. We were out exploring most of the day. We did stop by Starbuck’s on our way back to the shelter for triple “pup cups!” Again, I hope that Freckles enjoyed his day out and that he may find a forever home soon.`I went on another Doggie Day out adventure with a volunteer on 3/9 and here is what they had to say! `Freckles is such a sweet and affectionate pup. He is a model car passenger, and easily got in and out of the car without any complaint. Freckles is very quiet, and was not reactive to other dogs, cars, people, and even birds. He loves to be pet, and melts onto people petting him. Freckles enjoyed adventuring in Land Park, Green Acres, and New Glory Brewery. Despite the crowds, he remained very calm throughout! Freckles already knows sit, and quite good at name recall. He loved treats of all kinds and he loved being showered with pets and affection. Freckles would be a perfect buddy to accompany any adventure!`

Contact Marianna at 916-508-9418. Hello, thank you for reading this post. Lovely is very much true to her name. My daughter calls her "Lovey". I want to introduce you to the amazing Lovely who loves everyone she meets including the children. She is exceptionally smart, easy to train and in 1 try, she learned how to use a doggie door. She knows the command "Sit" and fantastic on the leash. Lovely manners are impeccable. She has the most fantastic personality; she is so loving, gentle, and easy going. She is truly ray of sunshine and bundle of everything good. It is apparent at some point she was someone's family member. She is soooo easy to love! Lovely chapter to the rescue began when she was found on the vacant property fully pregnant and gave a birth to 3 beautiful babies. She was an amazing mom and deserves nothing more but to be someone's special girl and the heart. If you are ready to open your heart and home to Lovely, please reach out to me at 916-508-9418. The unconditional love of Lovely is ready to meet you and make the lifetime memories! Lovely is being fostered in Antelope, CA. .
