Story
This little bundle of fur was found abandoned in a box at just a few weeks old. Shortly after receiving her, she was checked out at the vet for any health problems. Luckily, whoever left her, didn't hurt her in any way and she was rescued just in time to avoid malnourishment. Now she (Chloe) is roughly 6 months old and rarely leaves anyone's side. She is a massive cuddler on rainy days and energetic on sunny ones. She loves to play and has taken well to potty training. Unfortunately, she needs to be rehomed since there is no room for her in the new house. We've reached out to friends and family without luck and do not wish for this sweet fluff nugget to be abandoned again. We do not know what breed she is but her markings suggest a type of hunting dog. Perfect for potential owners with a backyard and/or possibly good running land. She doesn't mind small spaces though, as she likes to stay close to her peoples.

Story
WANTED: A Forever Family for a Resilient Girl Name: Lea Status: Dog friendly | Cat friendly | Spayed & ready for adoption Hello, I’m Lea—a furbaby (maybe yours in the future?!) who has lived through a lot but is still holding out hope for the family I truly deserve. My story hasn’t been easy. In my early years, I was badly beaten, left in closets and tiny crates, and forced to fend for myself against things like brooms. Because of this, I can be protective of my space, and I don’t like being snuck up on—it makes me nervous. Later, I finally found someone who cared for me, but when my owner was deployed overseas with the military, he couldn’t take me along. And that’s how I found my way here. But here’s who I am today: &#226&#156&#148 Dog friendly &#226&#156&#148 Cat friendly &#226&#156&#148 I love to play outside—you’ll see me hopping around like a little deer &#226&#156&#148 I enjoy splashing in the water —it’s one of my happy places &#226&#156&#148 I’d do best in a home with no small children, where I can feel safe and secure &#226&#156&#148 I’m ready for a family who will respect my boundaries and let me bloom into the happy, goofy girl I really am After everything I’ve been through, I’m still hopeful. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life waiting—I want a family to love, to trust, and to share my joy with. Could you be the one to give me the safe, happy forever home I’ve been dreaming of? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Orangeburg SPCA – 225 Ruf Road, Orangeburg SC 803-536-3918 | aro.spca@outlook.com Hours to meet me: Monday–Friday: 10 AM – 4 PM Wednesday: 10 AM - 2 PM Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM Closed Sunday Appointments available outside of operating hours. —Signed, Lea (The Deer-Hopping, Water-Loving Survivor Ready for Forever)      October 7, 2025, 10:45 am
