You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Snow White came to the rescue with her 7 brothers. They have all been adopted and she is still looking for her forever home. She loves people including children. Is good with other dogs after slow introductions. Her mom is Great Dane/Staffordshire Terrier mix and dad is a German shepherd. Snow is very affectionate. She is housetrained. Does well free range in her foster home. She walks well on a leash but is very interested in any squirrel she might want to chase. She would love another playful dog in her adoptive home and older children. If you'd like to meet her place an application at lastdaydogrescue.org &#226&#128&#139 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. December 8, 2025, 1:40 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Chance, one of our newest arrivals at the Mikey & Me Kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Rescue. Chance is a sweet boy, he’s timid when first meeting new people but he builds confidence pretty quickly once he feels safe. He has been living outside tied to a box in Ohio for the past two years. He seems timid around new noises and new places only because he hasn’t been introduced to very many situations until now.  Chance is a sweet boy, he’s about 3 years old, he has a multi-colored coat, he weighs 55-60 pounds, he walks reasonably well on leash, and he seems to want the attention of people he hasn’t yet met. He seems to do well with other nice dogs too. Chance will be seen at Village Animal Clinic in Dexter where he will be fully vaccinated, receive a heart worm test, and he will have a microchip placed for his safety. Neuter surgery for Chance will be scheduled soon thereafter. If you would like to meet Chance and feel you can offer him a stable home, please submit an adoption application under his name at  happydaysdogandcatrescue.org . Thanks! Dan DePew Mikey & Me   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Denali was born on September 16, 2018. The first of nine puppies. He is a mix of Great Dane and Hound and weighs about 95 pounds. Due to his owner’s illness and family circumstances this wonderful dog is needing a forever home. Denali has lived with other large breed dogs and has been around many of the dogs we have fostered, from young pups to Giant Tibetan Mastiffs. With slow and careful introductions he should be good with almost any dog, but he has not been around small/toy breeds. He is not good with cats, or other small furries/chickens. He can be unsure sometimes in new situations and has a hound type baying bark for all new things. Denali must have a securely fenced yard of at least four feet high. Denali has been raised in a country setting and a calm home environment. He is not used to being crated but is used to being in gated smaller areas. He does not chew inappropriately and is very well housebroken.  He is a very good boy and loves to dance with a toy in his mouth   He is trained to walk using a gentle leader and loves to go on runs. He enjoys food and treats. He has a very strong tail and might not be a good match for toddlers or children under 10 due to his size. He loves to sploot his hind legs out and stretch out on rugs—he can fill an entire couch easily. He has been an utter joy in my life since he was born. He loves to please his people and if you can offer this special and handsome boy a forever home, please send in your application right away.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a  $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee  to change information.
