SWEET LULU IS SAFE AND OUT OF THE SHELTER, BUT SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP! ❤️ Last week, our rescue saved Lulu from the euthanasia list. Thanks to an incredible foster who stepped up, we were able to get her to safety just in time. Lulu is an absolute sweetheart who has quickly stolen the hearts of her foster family—and they adore her just as much as she adores them. Sadly, Lulu was neglected for a long time before she was surrendered to the shelter. As you can see, she desperately needs surgery on both of her eyes. She has one of the worst cases of cherry eye our rescue has ever seen, and right now she can barely see at all. No dog should have to live in constant discomfort like this. We can’t let her continue to suffer. She needs surgery as soon as possible so she can finally live the happy life that she deserves. In such a short time, our rescue has saved so many at-risk dogs from NYC ACC shelters, but we truly need your help. We have been faced with one costly medical emergency after another, placing an enormous financial strain on our rescue. No matter what, we will never turn our backs on a dog in need—but we can’t do it alone. She is corso- mastiff mix that is full of life, love and tail wags! Since arriving in foster care, Franny has shown that both giving and receiving love is her most favorite activity. In fact, once Franny realizes you love her, she will show you her playful side and keep you entertained with her silly, quirky ways daily. Immediately upon approaching Franny you will bare witness to her soft and wiggly body and she is not too proud to show off her friendliness - even if that means jumping up to greet you like a wild child before settling down nicely and showing off her soft, gentle and demure side. Her favorite way to make up for initial chaotic joy is by learning her head into you for comfort and eventually curling up for pets. In the home, Franny is an amazing house guest. Franny is well behaved, house-trained and always so eager to please, regardless if it be for yummy treats or sweet words of affirmation. Franny can be excitable on leash when she see's other dogs and kids but true to her zest for life, its all enthusiam based as she communicates her love for them! Overall Franny is an extremely adaptable girl who will do wonderful in any home, including one with other dogs via appropriate introductions and even small creates as she currently lives with a guinea pig and is extremly respectful of the. Franny's ideal adopter will be one who appreciates that the foundation of Franny's perfection has been laid and as a young adult girl the only thing left to work on is finetuning the small details into molding her into her full potential. Ivy, formerly known as Skylar, is a silver bouncy velveteen hippo goddess with striking Tahoe blue eyes. Born in December, this Cane Corso Neapolitan mastiff is a true Sagittarius. Her curiosity is boundless and her optimism infectious. This 6-month-old 60 lb rock star is your future soul mate from the stars. Ivy loves her canine and feline foster siblings. In fact, she loves that cat so much that she tries to impersonate him by playing with his tiny toys. Also known as the collector, she uses her impressive jowls to gather all the dog toys in her mouth and prance around the home with them. She finds toys irresistible, and who can blame her- she's just a big baby! Of course, she loves to play with her siblings as well, but her toys are a little more tolerant of her clumsy antics than her dog and cat siblings. Ivy also loves cuddling with anyone that will indulge her- cat, dog, human. She knows basic commands and obedience, such as sit, down, come, SPIN, and stay. Very impressive for such a young girl. In addition to these academic accolades, Ivy is an eager dog puzzle enthusiast and highly food- and treat-motivated. Ivy’s ideal family would be one that will continue to nurture her and understands guardian breeds. She had a traumatic start to life- bred in a backyard breeding ring, purchased, under socialized, kept in a crate, and neglected- although the owner did love her as best she could. In her foster home, the endless love, patience, and guidance her foster parents and siblings provided allowed Ivy to blossom. However, city life is too much for beautiful Ivy. She would thrive in a home that can show her the world is not so terrifying. New people and animals scare her. She does not realize she is 60 lbs of super soft fabulous power. Ivy believes she is a 10 lb dog with the heart of a survivor- filled and ready to love. Ivy loves people, but might be too much for little humans at this time. She would love to be in an adult home or one with older children.
