Missy (A141105) is a 6-year-old Anatolian shepherd who weighed over 100 lbs at intake and is looking to shed a few of those pounds!02/07/26 This sweet and affectionate girl is Missy! Missy is looking for a home that can help keep her contained. Missy has been known as a bit of an escape artist, and she can be vocal. For these reasons, her previous owners were not able to keep her in their current living situation. Missy was said to be housebroken and was described as being a gentle and affectionate dog. She was said to get along with everyone: kids, babies, dogs, cats, small critters, and even livestock! She knows some basic commands, such as sit and lay down. She was also said to ride well in the car. She has been known to chew, so make sure you are providing her with plenty of appropriate chew toys! Please make sure you are doing slow and controlled introductions into a new home and with all other living beings in that home. Missy is fairly overweight, and as a larger breed dog it will be important for her to lose a few pounds to prevent complications and strain on her joints.
